by David GeeHello,
I am currently working on recovering my HP Laptop (Model: 17-cn0023dx) after a BIOS corruption issue. The laptop is stuck in a no-boot state, and the Caps Lock light is blinking with a 3.2 code (3 long, 2 short), which according to HP documentation indicates a BIOS corruption failure.
I have prepared a USB stick using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, but I confirmed that it does not include a BIOS recovery image for Crisis Recovery. I also attempted to extract the BIOS file from the spXXXXX BIOS update package provided on the HP Support site, but that update only provides...-

by suiramixHi there,
Got this (clean) laptop without any previous repair attempts or any history about it …
When I press power button, the blue led is on, but no fans no boot splash or display. The battery is charging too.
No visible faulty components are on the board.
After awhile, the CPU_Core coils (from CSD97374) PL4701, 4702 and 4703 are extremely hot.
The 1V_CPU_CORE = 1.725V [ is not this too high?] and of course the CPU itself is getting hot
Also based on other posts from here, I measured resistance between:
DCBATOUT and 1V_CPU_CORE= 620 ohm...05-01-2025, 08:24 AM -
by scubacamperI found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it’s image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...Today, 12:19 PM -

by master3112Hello everyone.
I have a GK7MR0R (XMG Core 17) The device does not start. When I press the power button, the device tries to start and draws 0.8A for a second. According to the schematic, the following voltages should be present in the connected power supply unit and these are also present:
+5VALW
+3VALW
+3VALW_PCH
+1.8V_PRIM
+1.05VO_OUT_FET
The battery is being charged.
First I tried to rewrite the BIOS, same behavior.
Another user had the same behavior and his chipset was defective. I also changed the chipset, same behavior.

once again I have a problem with a possibly damaged bios.
Please upload the file if you could be so kind and check if it is broken or ok?
It suddenly stopped booting after a bios update from version 208 to 212.

by giulio93Hi everyone, I have this gaming laptop that during the usage suddenly shutted down. I disassemble it and take some mesurments. I have a lab supplier and a thermocam. I tryed injected voltage at the DCIN connector and I see this little chip went up to 85 deg (at 19V) this chip should control the battery charge. Next i mesure the resistence at the big coils on top of it and the value is 0,4ohm so dead short.. Those 4 phases are the power supply of the Nvidia GPU?
I tried to inject 1V at that coil and i get 1.35A dwawn but nothing heat up...02-27-2025, 02:56 PM -

by Focus2005Hello everyone!
I come with a topic that is the lack of performance of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card in the HP OMEN 16-B0020NW laptop with an SRKT1 (Intel Core i5-11400H) processor and a DAG3KMB1AB0 REV.B motherboard.
The card shows barely 20 FPS in FurMark under load (with the original battery and original power supply connected). It displays correctly in Device Manager, without any errors. So far, I have reinstalled Windows 11 and updated all drivers and BIOS.
In general, the motherboard was flooded, I managed to bring it back to life and only the graphics...-
