by petabyteAs this is a brand new forum, I thought I'd open up a thread to encourage new members to introduce themselves a bit.. now hey.. let's not get too personal.. ok ?
And if you wouldn't mind to keep this thread \"clean\" let's try to keep the the chitchat (i.e. even the welcome to the board replies) to a minimum or this thread may get to 100 pages fast
So I'll start things off :
My name is petabyte and I'm a forum junkie. :oops:I've been off the wagon for a number of years and countless times I've tried to stop but it's useless.....

by Pfloyd36069Good afternoon everyone,
This is my first real post here. I am very new to a lot of this, so bear with me. I recently acquired a Nikon Z8 that had been dropped and will not power up. After removing the back of the camera, I found a large FPC cable that was half out of the connector. Great, I though I'd found the problem and reseated the cable and tested. Still no power. I started digging further and found an inductor that had overheated, bulged, and left a residue on the heatsink. I removed the inductor and retested, thinking maybe I would have some functionality, but still nothing....Today, 11:56 AM -
