Thanks, i already noticed that but i did find something better , i got the actual files for a mainboard reload plus the techs documents for install etc i'll try add the rar file with all the images, they do have to be loaded onto a old type Sony Memory Stick though, not sure if Mem Stick Duo will work
It also has software/firmware for various models from 32 inch to 50 inch it appears too
The file is about 65mb so im uploading to a file share thing and i'll share in a minute or two...Leave a comment:

However on mine, when its switched on, the green light comes on for about 20 - 30 seconds followed by turning to 8 red flashes.
Its exactley the same boards inside as the other post and all the voltages are there when turned on just like the other post pointing to a mainboard fault as in the other post too.
I have read a service bullitin that was issued regarding the software on the boards and for engineers... -

Sorry to jump in on this, but i have one of these exact same tv's with the same problem but with an error code..
Mine appears to power up with the green light and press the buttons and it just blinks the green light, however after about 20 seconds the green light goes out and the centre red light starts to blink 8 times pauses then repeats, is this the same or something else?Leave a comment:

Hi i couldnt see any fuses either and at about 2am i gave up for the night.
This morning though, a bunch of new caps arrived and after an hour i wished id not asked my brother to order me a new soldering iron because it was clearly a £2.99 special offer that was only worth poking humans with for fun, 28 joints unsolderd and 280 joints resoldered with it and the nibs gone, proberbly melted into the solder, and i have a 3 blistered thumb and a scorched middle finger i poked myself just to test it was actually hot.

When you say power up the board, all i can do right now is plug a power cord into it, then on the 5VSB in the middle of CN804 is the only one showing any power all at 05.0 the rest are 00.0
I cant actually turn it on, the power button on the tv inst getting a response no lights or anything so thats just with power cord pluged inLeave a comment:

Ok i gave it a hoover, reason i didnt dust it down was as a kid quite a few year ago now, i remember my uncle saying not to , something to do with changing resistance or sumthing ,he used to repair the massive tv's.
Anyway i retook tryin to hold the cam steadier. I checked the fat cap with power applied and there was no voltage coming from it, the fuse is passing current okay though....Leave a comment:

LG 32LX2R No Power
Ive had a punt on another tv I have been given, one that feels just as heavy as an old crt tv. Plugged it in and nothing. a quick look for the model on ebay and a set of 14 caps someones put together to sell for 7.99 + p&p saying stuck in standby or dead fix kit made me just goto cpc and get a bunch of panasonic ones for about 5.50. Is it comon for this power board to have no power output from any of the wires with the faulty caps? None look bulged buts it does look like someone at the factory dotted each on that will probley die , maybe a warranty just run out scam?

Well i had a go at the plastic ribbon connectors that look like selotape coming from the thin lcd panel to the strip of circuit board on top of the lcd casing. I used some tin foil wraped around the end of soldering irn and applied heat to the contact part of the plastic with it touches the millions of thin metal contacts, it stuck it back down well
Until i forgot to support the lcd panel and it fell out of the case and pulled the plastic strips connectors from the actual panel! Damit! they looked like the were...Leave a comment:
