I removed the smd cap going to pin 2. I still only get pic for a couple of seconds.

Sony KLV-40BX400 blinking red 6 times
I'm repairing a Sony KLV-40BX400 LCD TV.
When I switch it on the standby light will go green and I'll get the sony logo. It will then immediately flash green and then I'll get the sony logo again. It will do this 3 times and then the red standby led will flash 6 times.
I've read that it can be an over voltage. I've measured the inverter 24 supply from the PSU and it's at 25.6V can this be the cause? -

I have a 32" LCD here with these strange vertical lines.
The lines move from right to left and back again. If I press menu etc then it looks like things are happening on the screen but it just causes the lines to pause for a while.
Could this be T-Con or panel? -

I have one of these tv sets that is faulty. There is a blown mosfet 19NF20 on the Y Buffer board.
Is it worth it to try and replace just the fet? All voltages are correct with the Y Buffer board disconnectedLeave a comment:

Samsung LA26C450 Not coming on
I have a samsung LA26C450. I power it on the LED flashes about 8 times, NO Backlight at all and voltages are as follows. 5V=5.2V , 13V=12.2V, 24V=25V
If I unplug the main board I get a backlight.
Do I need a new main board? -

Yes that is how the PSU looks internally.
The resistor that is damaged comes directly from the large primary capacitor to the small 5v transformer.
Then off that line a 204 resistor feeds pin 5 of the IC.Leave a comment:

Anyone have a schematic or some info? +5Vsb popped the FSQ0270R IC on the primary.
There are 2 smd resistors feeding the Vcc of the IC. One I can see the value is 204 but the other one popped and I can't see the value. In my experience it should also be a 204 but I would like to make sure first.
Help will be appreciated. -
