Hello,
I have a two year old 43UN700-B Monitor that I have two computers connected to. One via Displayport and the other through one of the HDMI ports. Recently, the computer connected via the HDMI stopped displaying. I connected it to all the HDMI ports and the USB-C port with no display. I hooked to the one Displayport and it worked. Then even the Displayport started taking a long time to be recognized. It would eventually come on but it took awhile. Assuming it was a bad motherboard, I ordered a EAX69012401 PCB. It was a used unit reclaimed from another monitor. I swapped...

T3610 Precision workstation recently stopped working properly
Hello,
I have a T3610 Precision workstation that recently stopped working properly. When the power button is pushed, the number 3 light turns amber and then goes out, then the power button turns white and stays on through the boot. At 3 seconds, the number 3 & 4 light come on and stay on for 8 seconds. Then the number 4 light goes out. Two seconds later the 1 & 2 light also come on (now 1,2 & 3 are on). 1 second later, light number 1 goes out and number 4 comes on. Then light 3 & 4 go out and then 1 & 3 come on (now 1,2 & 3 are on). This is how it remains....

Re: Acer Aspire E5-575 Mosfet
So resistance measurements on PU5, test all pins to GND with and without power applied to MB, testing for shorts only, is that correct?...

Re: Acer Aspire E5-575 Mosfet
Just wondering if the readings indicate that the laptop is beyond repair or if anything more can be done, thanks...

Re: Acer Aspire E5-575 Mosfet
The only reading I get is .95 Mohm across source and drain. All the others are OL. It's a cheap mutimeter that states it will read from 400 ohm to 40 Mohm with 1 percent accuracy.
What should the readings be?

Re: Acer Aspire E5-575 Mosfet
Should I replace the 4k resistor first

Re: Acer Aspire E5-575 Mosfet
With the resistor removed and the trace open the measurement at pin 4 (ACDR) is in the microvolts

Re: Acer Aspire E5-575 Mosfet
ACDRV ~4V
VCC 19V
ACDET 2.6 V
ACOK 0 V
REGN 6 V
Same with or without battery

Re: Acer Aspire E5-575 Mosfet
I had to remove the PCB to get to this IC. Should I attach the battery for these measurements?

Re: Acer Aspire E5-575 Mosfet
Is it safe to test this with the Mosfet jumped or should I remove the jump and put back in the new Mosfet I purchased?

Acer Aspire E5-575 Mosfet
I have a Acer Aspire E5-575 that died. The power supply checked out. When the power supply was plugged in, the board was getting voltage but neither the battery charging light or the power light came on. I removed the first Mosfet (PQ22) and AON6414AL and jumped it and both lights came on and the laptop started normally. I assumed that it was a bad Mosfet and ordered one. After soldering in the new Mosfet, I get no lights again. I attached the circuit for reference. I am not an EE, so I was not able to do any more troubleshooting. Any suggestions on the next steps would be appreciated. Thanks...

Insignia NS-50DR620NA18 TV problems
Hello,
I have a Insignia NS-50DR620NA18 TV that developed vertical lines on the screen (see pic). After doing some research on-line I decided to purchase a replacement SHARP PN-UH501 T-CON BOARD 55.50T32.C13 55T32-C0F from eBay. I received the new PCB and swapped it with the old after confirming that the part numbers were identical. I turned on the TV and I now get a blinking red light near the on/off switch a black screen. I replaced the old PCB and I get the same blinking red, black screen.
I checked the voltage out of the power supply and it appears to be correct,...

Re: Dell 3008WFP Monitor Intermittent Text Shadowing
Thanks, I tried all the reset sequences recommended by Dell and none of them worked. Someone else said this could also be caused by a bad cable and/or connector at the T-Con. Is there any way to trouble shoot this with out replacing two PCBs (T-Con and Main) and a cable?

Dell 3008WFP monitor cycling colors after repair
Hello,
I have a Dell 3008WFP monitor that I disassembled to replace any bad capacitors. After reassembly, the monitor turns on but immediately starts to cycle through simple colored screens; red, yellow, blue, black and white. From my internet search it appears that the monitor has entered a "burn in" mode. I tried all the different button push combinations that were recommended to enter a service menu but none worked. My question is, could this be caused by a hardware issue; an improperly seated connector or something else. Does anyone else have any experience with a...
