Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
non of them were shorted - I plugged the left High voltage board to the power supply (kept the one on the right off) and when the relays cycled, the voltage went up to 200V

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
Once I removed the x/y power cable, the green LED stayed on, the relay just clicked once and the Voltage went up to 209V and dropped down to less then 1 V

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
Is that from the big pin on top of the power board? If so - it's 0V

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
Jumper was placed and the green LED flashed on as the relays clicked (5x) and remained off after that

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
With the resistor in, it clicks several times (cycles); once I remove them and restore it won't power up

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
Tom asked me this earlier:
You want to unplug the main board power connector completely; this is the connector which hooks the main board to the power supply.
Then connect one resistor between PS ON and GND, and one between VS ON and 5V standby. The power supply should turn on, indicated by one or two clicks. If it does, unplug it. Then apply the 4-3 jumper and see whether you get test patterns on the screen.
The lower plug had the missing VSON, that's why I'm confused

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
Sorry Tom, but the upper connector doesn't have a VS ON - have a look

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
I heard a double click when I plugged the set in

Hey Tom, here is a picture of the tuner board
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/fatcattara/20140228_143430_zpsd4716290.jpg
And here is a picture of the board with notation for the resistor placement

I hope I got it rightRe: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D<b...6290.jpg

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
To clarify: I test (use the resistors here) on the upper connector (that's the one going to the tuner etc. and leave also the lower connector off (cable going to the board for the test pattern)

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
Questions to clarify: do I leave the connector to the x & y boards off? Do I leave both plugs off (see picture)? And last - both plugs have PS ON and VS ON; do I use upper or lower?

You were referring to those ID's?

Re: Samsung 42" Plasma PN42C450B1D
If this is the correct board, where do I find PS ON and VS ON
