Re: Samsung PN58C550G1FXZA won't turn on
I noticed that. I was quite surprised of those results or lack of them as I have been helped by responses numerous times. Anyways, I appreciate your response and think that is where I will start my repair. Thanks.

Did you ever find your issue?

Re: LG 50pv400 Plasma Display issue
I will try that. I also noticed there is a slight diff in VS label. 450 label states 201v; 400 label states 203v. Not sure it makes a diff since I'm swapping them out.

Re: LG 50pv400 Plasma Display issue
I swapped out 450 model boards (both buffers, y main, power supply, and x main) and put into 400 model. No change. Red standby lights but no change with remote or power button.

Re: Panny 50PZ80u
I sent the power board off for repair. They found a bad mosfet and fuse. After I received back and reinstalled it powered up fine. After 30min of testing, it simply powered off and began flashing the 4 code. The following day I plugged it in and it once again came on and started working as expected. In my novice opinion, it appears that it may be a heat issue with the power supply. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: LG 50pv400 Plasma Display issue
That is a great point but I've not been successful at finding that fault yet. I figure the screen replacement is a good learning experience too. (Hopefully)

Re: LG 50pv400 Plasma Display issue
I hope these two models are identical except the numbers. As I understand it the 400 model is a Costco number as the 450 is everyone else. I haven't replaced a screen before so I'm cautiously optimistic. I will be searching for how-to's for sure. Thus far this forum has been a great spot to learn. Thanks for your reply tom66!

Re: LG 50pv400 Plasma Display issue
Does anyone know if the display of LG 50PV400 can be used to replace broken display on a LG 50PV450?

Re: Panny 50PZ80u
Hey Panny - did you ever figure out the 4 blink code? I have the same model and replaced the 201 & 301. It worked perfectly for about a month now but it just went out and is blinking 4 times.

Re: LG 50pv400 Plasma Display issue
Same model 50PV400. I have a standby red light but will not do anything else. One click when it's initially plugged in and light comes on but then nothing else. Pressing power on tv or remote has no effect. Any suggestions?

Re: Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ800U power supply light 2 blinks
Well I tried... unsuccessfully. I decided the skill needed doesn't reside in me at the moment. However, the information and directions in this thread was spot on. I found a guy on eBay that repairs MC201 and MC301's. I felt his service was fairly priced and it was a very quick turnaround. Received these back, put them in and all is well again in the world... until my next tv is opened that is. Thanks to all that responded, your guidance will be sought again.

Re: Panasonic TC-L42U12
Thanks for the response.
Will most any 1.6 fuse work as replacement for the red fuse? It appears the white fuse is 16.3amps; if I am not able to get that reading then I suppose replace that one too? I assume I can remove the rivets and just re-solder the replacement in? Nervous about the testing of the high voltages. I assume I reconnect board and test while its powered up correct? If those caps are less than 300-400, then replace? I considered just replacing the board but haven't been able to find one yet. Any next steps if these fuses and caps are...

Re: Panasonic TC-L42U12
Thanks selldoor for response. I took out board and tested red fuse in circuit and got OL. I'm not sure about the white fuse. It appears to be riveted in and not sure if I can test in circuit or if it's ok to remove the rivets. I tested it in circuit and got intermittent readings. I apologize but I'm quite the novice currently. I am attaching hopefully clearer pics of top and bottom of the board....Last edited by AWTVs; 07-30-2014, 09:29 PM.

Re: Wal-mart display tv woes.
I just bought a completely dead Panasonic TC-P42X5 to "attempt" repair. It has no power or lights. I have not opened it up yet but if I do not see any obvious bad caps, etc. are you thinking replacing the U203 may repair it? Have you attempted this successfully? Open to further suggestions/ideas.

Re: Panasonic TC-L42U12
Thanks stj for your reply. I see the obvious fuse but not sure of another one. Do I need to remove the board and test these out of circuit? Any details you could provide is appreciated.
Hey selldoor - I requested this thread to be relocated. New to the forum space; thanks for the heads up.

Panasonic TC-L42U12
This tv is completely dead. No lights, no sound, no blinking, no bulging caps! The fuse appears to be soldered in. Not sure what to do; I'm open to any suggestions....
