Yes it appears to be the tabs. Just taking the screws out of the metal frame makes the problem go away. I just found the "hot" tab right adjacent to the blue area at top of screen. Now I need to order the stuff to fix it. Thanks again!

Yes I did intentionally flex the panel and it did eliminate the band for a few minutes but I could not get it to do it again.Leave a comment:

Scene on the screen is Scrat the squirrel (on left) from dvd "Ice Age". While playing around with set while dvd was playing, the blue band went away for 10-15 minutes but came back. Set works perfectly except for blue band.Last edited by stevo440; 12-16-2014, 01:46 PM.Leave a comment:

Samsung LN52A550 T-Con Bad?
This is my first post. Photo should be worth at least ten thousand words. Inspected, cleaned lvds cable and T-Con ribbons, looked for bad caps. Carefully massaged all around the edge of panel but no change. At this point I am suspecting T-Con board but wanted advice before ordering. Thanks in advance for your help.
