I think you are right !! My set was shutting down and giving me the 7 blink diagnostic code.....
I unpluggged the IR sensor board and it has been playing for 1.5 days so far......I will update if t does not work.

screen damage ?? Samsung UN55F7100
I did a service call for a moving company where I have to diagnose and determine if the set has been damaged from neglect.(movers)
If I could get some input on these pictures it would be helpful.
It looks (to me) like a pixel has burned out,,,,,and effected some surrounding ones..It is very small ,you will need to zoom in close to see the detail.
There are no scratches or external damage to the set.
Take a look and let me know if you think …was it caused by external forces or a (natural) screen failure…..??

Sony KDL55HX800 shutdown with 6x blink code
Hey guys,,
I have a Sony KDL55HX800 that plays for about 20 min.....then shut off with a 6 blink power led......
I believe It's an LED backlight error code.
I have the service manual and there is no troubleshooting information.......does anyone have the Training Manual..?
or advise...?

I tried "disconnecting the panel ribbon connectors from the T-con board", and that allowed the set to power on with the backlight.....and there is was ..a big spider web..(cracked screen)

Gentlemen.
I am new to the forum...but not to TV repair.
I can't find the service manual but all the similar case histories call for a "Panel power supply error" or power supply.
I purchased a power supply from Ebay it did not fix it.
Does anyone have access to the service manual and /or some suggestions...
