Re: Bad vizio v505-g9 backlight or video board.
Unfortunately you were correct. 1-2 bad leds per strip.

Bad vizio v505-g9 backlight or video board.
Getting picture but no backlight. Getting 45v every white wire on led connector. Could it be anything else other than a bad backlight? Would assume that the 4 strips would be independent of each other....Last edited by knoxrebel; 07-23-2021, 08:19 PM.

Re: Insignia ns-55d420a16. Blinking red light no backlight
Thanks for the assistance. Ended up being VD819 (MBR101 50 CTF - E1 434881). Having trouble finding a suitable replacement.
Would FCH10A20 suffice?Last edited by knoxrebel; 02-28-2021, 07:08 PM.

Re: Insignia ns-55d420a16. Blinking red light no backlight
Not sure on the load, but it was dialed all the way down.
The board silkscreen showed 16v not 14, and its didn't match up with the connector so i assumed it was incorrect. I'm not getting any other voltage other than the 12 with or without the mainboard plugged in....

Insignia ns-55d420a16. Blinking red light no backlight
Tested power supply output getting 12 volts with no main board. Tested with main board 12 volt output is dipping appears that power supplies restarting. Hooked external load directly to 12 volt and it's doing the same thing. Suggestions?...

LE55A6R9A - Video no backlight. SOLVED
Confirmed voltage at CN202 (266) and CN203 ~187 Disassembled unit down to backlights and found no visual signs of led damage. Luckily my DMM puts out enough voltage to get the leds to barely light up in diode mode. I was able to locate failed open led, and after shorting it the backlights are working properly.
***I would not suggest shorting across led, unless just for short time (testing purposes) as all leds are likely in series.

Re: Sony KDL-60R510A - Bad tcon or panel
SOLVED: TV was trashed. A ribbon cable that connected boards on the lcd panel itself had a burn mark in it as well at where that board attached to the lcd ribbon flex cable had trace damage that couldn't be repaired without specialty equipment.

Re: Vizio E550I-B2 bad picture
This is likely not a power issue. Bad lcd, or video board

Re: Sharp LC-60c6600u no power.
Thanks for still being here Budm.
I tested R7907 and its maked as 2.8ohm (red (silver or grey) gold gold). Meter initially shows 2.7 then settles at 2.1ohm.
See previous post edit: IC7903 will now need to be replaced.
Are there any other things i should test for with ic removed?
