Hi all,

I've been hanging on to this monitor since the back light died on it last year or more. It was purchased in 2007 I think, so one of the earlier models of it.

Anyway, I'm still reading through posts here and attempting to figure out how to debug. I've taken it apart with the boards off now. Caps "look" fine, my mm doesn't do capacitance so not sure how effective debugging them will be.

When the monitor failed, the back light was completely out, no 2 seconds to black out, not sure if mine might fit that category though. Perhaps there are...

Hey all!

Just signed up though I found the site a few months back when my monitor died. While I purchased a new monitor I've been wanting to clear some space to fix the dead one. So here I am back again. Managed to get the thing apart which wasn't easy (Viewsonic 2255) but the caps all look good I'll be digging around the forums for pointers and might even post a question or two. Thanks for listening!
