Re: Samsung UN65F6400 dims towards the top
I decided to tear it apart tonight and start checking LED strips individually. I did find that I have many many LEDs burn out and I started replacing them individually with a donor strip just to make sure it was going to work. I have one strip done now that seems to be working good.
What is everyone's recommendation as far as gluing the diffuser lenses back over the LEDs?
Thank you again for all your help!...

Re: Samsung UN65F6400 dims towards the top
Hey budm,
I just want to make sure I'm understanding you right. You want me to remove the wire harness that goes from the power board to the clip that supplies the LEDs inside the TV, correct? And then you want me to test from -1 to +1 -2 to +2 and so on. When I do that I don't get any voltage on any of them. However when I do tests from -1 to +2 I get voltage that starts at around 20V and quickly counts down to 0V and resets itself to do the same cycle again instantly. This cycle happens very quickly over...

Re: Samsung UN65F6400 dims towards the top
If I test between +1 and -1 (this is the only configuration I have yielded any LED lighting with my LED tester) I get it to light up similar to when it powers on (dimmer at the top). When I test voltage between -1 and +2 when the TV is powered up and the cable it in place I am getting in the neighborhood of 285V. When I test between -3 and +4 when the TV is on and cable is hooked up I get a reading of voltage that very quickly drops from 20V down to lower voltages and then "OL" starts over again.

Samsung UN65F6400 dims towards the top
I have a Samsung UN65F6400 TV. The original symptom it had was that the TV would not come on. After I removed the cable from the power board to the main board the TV backlighting came on making me think it might need main board repair. However when I hooked everything back up the TV all came back on and worked, but the TV is noticeably brighter at the bottom and gets dimmer towards the top. I'm guessing this is most likely an LED issue but this TV is going to be a bear to tear into, so I wanted to get your guy's opinion before I did this.
Side note, I did test it with a TVLED tester and...

Re: Samsung UN55H6350AFXZA with "led halos"
You nailed this with your diagnosis. A few of them were bent so bad they were completely broke and I chose to try a different solution other than the heat gun method. The clear tubing actually worked pretty good. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!...

Re: Samsung UN55H6350AFXZA with "led halos"
I tore into the TV and found out that the spacers to give the diffuser (I think that's what is called) space away from the LEDs were broken. Somehow the screen must have had pressure on it at some point.. I took pieces of 1 inch clear tubing and they fit perfectly over the mount for the spacers. However it was leaving a dark Halo wherever the tubes were at so then cut them to a sharp Point minimizing where the tubing touches the screen. It ended up working really well. I'll post pictures To show just in case anyone else ever...

Samsung UN55H6350AFXZA with "led halos"
This TV had a bad power board. The power board had a thermistor that had completely broken a piece off and a blown fuse. I ended up purchasing a used to power board and replaced it when it came in. The TV then came on fine and worked, but appeared to have bright spots over almost the LED's wherever LED lights were. It seemed as if it was shining too bright on the LEDs and when you dim it the TV nothing really changes.

Re: Sharp LC-60LE600U won't stay on
Did you happen to get this issue fixed? I had the exact same thing going on with my same model TV. My resistance values for the LED driver were all about identical except for I was getting the ohm reading off of my negative Leeds instead of my positive. I can't get the screen to flash like you were able to for a split-second unless I unplug half of the t-con board. If I unplug half of the t-con board it will do a split second Flash and it doesn't matter which half is unplugged, both sides unplugged will get the opposite side of...

Re: How to Fix your Vizio M470NV and M550NV
Hey Nick... Would you be interested in buying all the boards out of this Vizio xvt473sv TV? The main needs reballed and the rest are fine I am pretty sure? I know they pull a premium on EBAY and I am not sure I want repair it at this time....

Re: How to Fix your Vizio M470NV and M550NV
Hey Nick,
I have became okay at repairing LCD, led and even a plasma tv over the last year. That being said... I have had 2 Vizio' s I have been stumped by.
I am working on a Vizio xvt473sv and it just lights up orange on the front logo and stays that way. Is this one that probably needs reballed also?
If so, how much do you charge for that and how do I go about getting the board sent to you?

Re: LG 55UF6450-UA with white screen
Okay, that stinks but thanks guys! I am also curious if it works for just LG T-cons or others also? I am trying to learn as much as possible through this community and that T-con material was very helpful material. Where do I find service guides like that?

Re: LG 55UF6450-UA with white screen
Thanks for that reference! That is a mighty tough solder job! After I did that and turned it on it flashed: Black, White, Red, Green Blue.
Does this mean bad Main Board?...
