Re: LG 60PZ570T-ZB distortion
I have a 100w solder gun here as well as a cheap one but no solder wick I had to google what solder wick was lol wish I had something to practice on here and I may of had a go at it
can you not just try and seal the cracks of the solder as I can see them plain as dayLast edited by sealover1; 05-13-2015, 07:55 AM.

Re: LG 60PZ570T-ZB distortion
I'm not good at soldering to be honest and every time I have tried if its not just wires to wires I've not done to well if it were a case of just smoothing it over to seal the cracks I would be ok with it probably so might get someone and pay them a few pound to re-solder it properly for me rather then me mess it up but I'm really grateful for you guys letting me know what the problem is in the 1st place as I know people would just chuck the boards in the bin and buy new ones
think I will go find a small course on soldering as it seems...Last edited by sealover1; 05-13-2015, 06:38 AM.

Re: LG 60PZ570T-ZB distortion
see what you mean now the solder is cracked on the coils
soldering lol I better practice that's a tiny place to solder only ever soldered twice and that was wires to wires

Re: LG 60PZ570T-ZB distortion
Hi Alastair Thanks for helping.
so the large brown board on the left and the large brown board on the right/top have to come off.
I see the 10 or so screws holding the board on there and see how the leads come off but can you tell me how the white ports come out do they slide out once the screws are undone?
I take it these are the thick brown coils that will need re-soldered?

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi Guys,
I love working with computers and most interestingly fascinated about the electronics bit. I came across this cool site when I was looking for ways to fix up my failing LG TV but seems like there's far more going on here in the forums looking forward to having a look around
