    thanks stj

info much appreciated i'll let you know in a few days after i make some altercations as to whether it solved the issues or not.

It certainly seems as if the host is sitting on top of the light switch where the wires run, it wouldn't even pick the contact up from front door to top of stair case 1 until i moved it 2 feet left, clear line of sight almost, (2 steps left of the bottom of stairs is the door)

I know it's shite, but good at the same time, it works flawlessly for my uncle and dad....

  • Re: Wireless alarm signal boost????

STJ, Sorry mate unbranded. i think the actual frequencies used are the 433/315MHz as the other four are for the cellular option (alarm calls/texts you when activated)

So the signal frequencies i would assume are the first two.

my dad got one for the sheds etc, and his door contact picks up and it's further away but in a more line of sight, shed door and back door to go through. where as mine is mearly a stair case and it's in next room.

hope this helps in your helping me

  • Re: Wireless alarm signal boost????

    hi, thanks STJ

I've read your advice and according to the manual the frequency is 433MHz/315MHz and encoded mode 2262 / 4.7MΩ GSM 850/900/1800/100MHz

Can you advise on how to calculate, giving the answer would be spot on, explaining how you calculate these things would be even better.

and thank you for your input, very much appreciated!!

  • Wireless alarm signal boost????

    Hi guys,

Got this cheeky little wireless alarm system going, now i live in a 3 story town house, have sensors 1st, 2nd, 3rd, master unit on 2nd mid passage between the two stair cases (if you know what i mean) take the unit away from the top of the 1st floor stairs (mid passage) towards the bottom of stairs leading to 3rd floor, wont pick up the "door" contacts, but will the PIR sensors???? and same applies if the order was reversed for the upstairs (3rd floor) sensors????

Had the main unit apart, with wire attached to the 2 solid copper wires "ANT"...

Sorry, I haven't. Could you perhaps provide instructions on how to do so? very grateful for any information

as for the transformer idea, it was the "whine" sound. i thought it's the biggest thing in the middle, get a new un!! lol.. it's all a learning curve for me. thank you for your time and help.

  • Help!! Bush / vestel led24127fhddvdw

Some serious help is required here!!

TV is from an aunt, very little use in the guest room, just "went off"

Nice tv for the bairn, took it hoping to be a bad cap, removed them all, tested all seemed to be within the tolerance range, replaced most off them, except 1 400v 27uf, and one i cant identify which is HYT 30076661

Anyhoooo, TV turns on but goes off after a few seconds, or did, until i fit new transformer, not sure if it's 100% compatible but the main number on it matched so thought yeahhhh that's the one, but new one fitted,...

  • Re: Bush LED 24127FHDDVDW standby flashes 5 times

i have the same board, same/similar issue.. LED standby just flashing, turns on repeatedly but goes straight back off, hear a slight "whine" from center of the board, after replacing all caps other than the big 400v one, i decided maybe it's the inverter/transformer but the "whine" is still present with new one. "whine" is not constant, only as if it's charging, it stops, tv comes on, back off, few seconds and repeats process!! highly annoyed lol. someone must have some good solid info on what we can...

  • Re: Testing a Buffer Board LJ41-05121A

Yeah, pretty nasty isn't it, this was my first thought when i seen the buffer IC that it has probably burned through the tracks on the board.. very unfortunate has been quite a failure to cause that damage to the boards, so put it down to a write off lol.

    thanks...

thanks, i had thought the same in relation to the damage, as it's not the common failure.

  • Re: Testing a Buffer Board LJ41-05121A

Hi there, Got the buffer boards and Y-MAIN board from Samsung 50" HD

    LJ41-05120A
    R1.3

    Buffers LJ-05121A & 22A with R1.0

Fluke 115 set to diode RED to input between 1-24 and BLACK along OP's with no continuous bleep? at least one obvious totally blown IC U5401 on board 121A and obvious damage to Y-MAIN with blown caps, one cap so bad i could not ID it but board REF is C5817 if anyone can ID it. next obvious is C5807.

Im no pro, started trying to ment a small 22"...
