acer aspire ES1-432 not turning on
hello, i have this laptop. when i plug the charger, the orange led lights on, like charging. after some time it becomes blue. when i press the power button, the led turns off. no fan spin, no light on the screen, the laptop not turning on. checked with disconnected keyboard, shorting the pin for the power button (its on the keyboard), no result. 3.3 volts present on the pin. tested with out battery (then the leds stays off), changed bios battery (was drained to 0v). any clues?

hello,
i have this matrix printer, there are fuses for the pins on the head, one is open but i am not able to identify it and find replacment. its marked just NB, F3 on the board (red circle)

i already opened the display, the attached pictures are from the control board. i guess there is a problem with the led driver chip on the picture, but i cant find datasheet

What you mean by lcdvdd? 19v is present all the time. I have a vcc test point near the connector of the screen board, it goes 3.3 when on, 0 when off. Just measured the led strip voltage on vled test point, it is 19v all the time, or 19 and something, just like the voltage of the main 19v rail on the laptop....Leave a comment:

Hello, a got a non working hp g62 laptop with problematic video graphic chip. Fixed for testing by reheating the video chip. It is working now, but after shutdown the backlights stays on. Also if the screen sleeps.on first plug the screen is off, then when i power on the computer, its on. And if i power off, it shuts down and stop, but the screen stays shining white.. also, changing brightness not working.
I measured the backlight on signal on the board of the led screen, and its 3,3v when the computer is on, and 0 when off. Seems to that the led driver just pass voltage to the strings... -

the second one did the job for me.
Pavilion dv4 with LA-4101p, no light at power jack led, turning on and off just for seconds, fans spins up and down. intresting, its not turning on at all without (already dead) battery. flashed the first bios - laptop powers on but no picture. flashed the second one and bingo.....Leave a comment:

i just got Toshiba with same board, one open LED in the backlight, all LEDs are in serices. When not connected(and when connected too, due open LED, voltage rise hight ( 50v on multimeter) then start droping to 0 (cap discharge).
Seems planned to be so, as i can see on the Open LED Protection chart, page 5 on the datasheet.
Fixed the open led, everything OK now. But my point was - when backlight disconnected, no voltage at the connector (rise hight, then stop and drop to 0)Leave a comment:

Sunpower RPS-2600 pinout?
Hello there!
I have an old PSU from some server/storage, its labeled sunpower rps-2600.. i would like to use it as 12v power source for a project.. but i cant find nothing about the pinout. i looked inside and found which pins are AC.. but when i apply power it starts for 10 seconds and power off.. on the pins i also found which are 12v 5v -12v (labeled on the board).. did someone know anything about it? may be some trick like on the atx green+black to power it on?

This helped me a lot
the PSU was FSP ATX-4035-HEN. 0 ovlts on the PG pin, good voltage on the others (+12 +5 and so on)
the PG IC seems to be another one, but markings and ratings (R92, R93) was the same. In my case R92 was black.. it wasnt shorted but it was reading some resistance.. when i clean it, it becomes open. replace it with a 51 ohms +-10% (it was reading 55 ohms with the DMM). now PG pin reads 5.03-05 volts. Now i am testing it on a PC, works fine for the moment.
