Hi, everyone.
I need help with this repair, please.
This laptop came with no signs of life.
There is no orange/ white light on the charger.
The only voltage present on the motherboard is 19V.
After inspecting it with a thermal camera I found the charging IC (ISL88739B) very hot.
Pin 21 shorted to ground which goes to the date to the mosfet next to it.
I've replaced it with another ISL88739A and the short is gone it started to get an orange and white light on the charging port.
5V present
3.3V line not present. The IC on the picture RW=9J... -

Hi, good afternoon all.
I need help, please.
The laptop came to me with no display and a 5.3 code on the caps lock.
Found 3 pins with soldering broken on the RAM slot. I've soldered it, but still has caps lock flashing.
So I decided to flash bios.
After the first attempt, it stopped flashing, but no display.
I've tried about 6 attempts of flashing BIOS I finally got it to turn on, but it takes about 1 minute every time I turn it off and on.
I guess maybe BIOS firmware is still not compatible....Leave a comment:

I'm trying to fix this portable external SSD.
It suddenly stopped working, according to the customer.
After diagnosing it, I found this IC in the picture shorted on pin 5.
It's a High Voltage Boost Converter (PS6117-40).
I can't find any datasheet for this specific IC.
I found a similar one, TPS61175-Q1, but the pins don't match.
Can you guys help me find where I can buy it?... -

Hi, everyone.
I need help on this one, please.
Liquid-damaged motherboard.
After reflowing the corroded areas and doing U.S cleaning it still won't turn on and there is no light on the charger.
The problem is that I can't find schematics. 3.3V LDO is up, but not the 5V LDO. The IC that created the 5V line is AKLM 161 and I can't find a datasheet for this IC.

Trying to fix this laptop that works intermittently, when it turns on works absolutely fine if it shuts down and disconnects the charger it will not turn on unless the screen cable is reset.
I've tested with another screen and had the same issue.

A1990 Constant Kernel Panic: AMDFramebufferVIB::setPowerState
Hi, I have an A1990, i9 & Radeon 560X. Before it was freezing every few seconds, almost as if failing SSD, even on external macOS installation. I have tried a clean reinstall, revive + restore T2 firmware and it now works fine, other than it seems to kernel panic after some time in sleep.
Below is the kernel panic log, its similar to a lot of posts online for the same model, with no comments on how to fix the issue, and whether its firmware related or an LB issue. Most seemed to happen running Catalina but I am on the latest version of macOS Ventura.... -

I have a Dell XPS 13 9300 with the same issue.
Dell logo and nothing.
I can't go to BIOS setup. Only LCD test mode works.
I've tried clean me firmware and same results.
I reflowed all RAM modules and CPU. Nothing changes—still Dell logo.
Anyone has a better idea of how to fix it.
The LED error codes 2 Amber and 4 White lists indicate RAM issue.
Has anyone managed to replace all modules and fixed this issue?

I'm trying to fix this Gigabyte laptop that came in for no power.
One thing I realize is that when I press the power bottom, the 3.3V line goes to 0V and stays on 0V.
Second is that the RAM coil is 0V. The IC “AREJ 549” that I can't find any datasheet for it is getting 19V, but no creating the RAM line.
Can anyone help me to figure out this problem.
