Re: Replaced Caps in Emu 1820 but No POWER
And you should not just use any cap. Find specs of old one and match spes with a new QUALITY one.

Yes, Mouser is fine. The rubber bungs shows they are fakes. At best, you will loose audio quality, at worst, ripple will kill other components....

The items in the ebay listing you posted, clearly show FAKE parts. You should never, ever buy parts from ebay

Re: OCZ 700 Watt Bug Zapper Recap & Repair
Never claimed to be clever, but I know Samxon are very good, very very good..... at making crap caps, seen them fail a lot. Even Capxon and OST had a few good batches.... Dont tell me Samxon is better than Nichicon or even call them good....

Samxon capacitor quality discussion (spin-off from OCZ Bug Zapper thread)
EDIT by mods: I have spun-off the Samxon discussion from this other thread here so it does not end up further off topic.
So please continue the discussion here instead
I think SgtRock is a big boy, and know what he is doing.
Asking people to use Samxon, now that is terrible!EDIT by mods: I have spun-off the Samxon discussion from this...Last edited by Per Hansson; 10-27-2015, 02:19 PM.

Lelon
I've seen this brand often used in monitors and som TV's, even found (and replaced them) in my BK Precision 8502 electronic load.
I can't figure out how bad (If bad) this brand is.
Would be interesting to hear from people who have SEEN this brand go bad,
within an an resonable time. Not just people thinking "ohh, I heard Lelon sucks).
Really want to know how their caps are.
Thanks in advance

Re: looking to buy an oscilloscope
I've got the Rigol DS1052E before getting the Agilent. It was a nice, but no doubt the Agilent is way better, but so is the price.
The Rigol seemed to have an ok buildt quality with original/quality parts, (got Nichicon caps & brand name chips) but why did they choose to overclock it ?
Its like the chinese just have to cut corners in one or the other way.
Its also a real pleasure using quality equipment, the project you works on, just feels better. (maybe just me)...Last edited by Rob Northen; 07-06-2012, 07:06 AM.

Re: looking to buy an oscilloscope
I bought a Agilent DSO-X 2012A about a month ago. Its a really nice scope with a nice big screen and good quality. It even got a build-in function generator. I can only recommend this scope.
