Yeah it'll probably be another year or two before the ZT60's start needing actual repairs and what not. They're still only a 2-3 years old so most are running pretty good I would think. I know mine was built May of 2013 but I believe the last ones made were in January of 2014. Everybody's ranting and raving about the new OLED's but I just cant see it. I know the blacks are a bit better than Plasma but the motion apparently isn't as good as there's blurry and ghosting. I'm gonna try to...

Yeah I think you're right for sure! I mean I was yanking on the ribbons and they weren't budging. LOL! Just like you said, these ribbons might be permanently bonded to the C Board. Craziness cuz all the videos I watched made it look so easy.......the ribbons would pop right out and slide back in with very little effort. Not with this ZT60 though. LOL! So for now I will just leave it be and try to enjoy it. Hey at least I cleaned all the dust bunnies of the fans and all of the innards....Leave a comment:

Yeah I did strip all of the junk away........unscrewed the C Board from the panel, disconnected all the wires that were attached to it and unlocked the little black tabs that hold the ribbons in place. The C Board still wouldn't budge. It's like the ribbons are glued in there or something. Now I did use a sufficient amount of force and did not baby it at all but any more pulling and I would've ripped or would've torn the ribbons. Okay so this past weekend I was able to take the back off and clean things off a bit. Used the air can and gently vacuumed up the dust. Unfortunately, I couldn't get to the C1 Ribbons as they were down in there pretty deep and covered up by the frame itself. I would've had to start removing the frame and bezel in order to get to the C1 ribbons. (Picture Attached but its turned to the sideways) So I proceeded to just try and take out the C1 board by loosening up the screws and disconnecting...Leave a comment:

Man I hope this is what it is and it can be solved with this simple fix. Seems to good to be true but with everything I've been hearing it seems fairly common. Can't wait to find time and rip it open! Lol! Is it okay to touch the ribbons with my bare hands or shoykd I get sterile gloves? Thinking the oils from my hands might not be good for the boards and components in there? Yeah I called Panasonic and they were gonna send a tech out that charged a $100 just to look at it. Well I'm glad to finally meet another ZT60 owner that has the same weird vertical dirty line on the right side of the screen. Yeah I only notice during whiter screens like sky or hockey ice or light green or light blue. Almost gives it a darker looking color. A couple of people on the AVS forum said that this is common with the ZT60 but I find it unacceptable. For sure, I will definitely unplug it and wait an hour before I start messing around back there. I'm still confused though? Should I unplug the connections going into the C1 Data Driver since the hazy vertical stripe is on that side? And what would I clean it with? Ok good! Where is the Cof Address driver located? In looking at my service manual I've got C1, C2 and C3 running from left to right across the bottom. This is looking at the TV with the back open. I'm assuming since C1 is located on the side of that stripe then that would be the one that needed to be cleaned and reseated? Unfortunately the closer you get the harder it is to see the vertical stripe. I'll try again tonight though. If you look at the left side of picture #1 you can see an off colored dirty blue about an inch thick and goes all the way from top to bottom....Leave a comment:

Panasonic ZT60 - 1" Off Colored Vertical Stripe On Right Side Of Screen
I'm curious as to an off colored greyish vertical stripe that I have on the very far right of the ZT60's screen. I really only notice it during my hockey games. It's like 95% of the screen is a nice clean white ice and then that last far right of the screen is an off colored greyish looking dirty ice. It's a thin 1" vertical strip. My friends and family can't notice it but I do and it bugs me. Could it be burn in from the previous owner? Wondering if this is a board / ribbon issue or the plasma display issue? And what are the possible solutions?
