It was surge i think. The modem, another tv, and router were on ups and still were damaged.

the voltages i get are with no connections to the power supply. Some background, we recently had a thunderstorm and i lost 3 tvs,2 routers,a modem, and stereo system. i thought i would start here to salvage what i can.
do i need to plug the connectors back in and re read the dcv?

Can anyone help me with a schematic for the power supply for a vizio E320-a1 or info on how to troubleshoot this problem. It does not have 5v and the 12v is reading 2.8v. thanks

Thanks for allowing me to join this forum. I started in the electronics business in the late sixties as a radio/tv technician. I learned the trade in high school and soon went to work for a major corporation (that is now bankrupt) as a field engineer for the next 38 years on a very diverse variety of equipment from microfilm machines to medical imaging.
