EV7200 Amplifier - Shuts Down
Hello,
Not much experience repairing audio equipment.
This was working and stopped when disconnected and moved to a different location.
When power is turned on, the ON LED and both Protect LEDs come on, but within about 1 sec. you can hear a relay click and both Protect LEDs turn off.
There is a visibly overheated resistor R65 with the paint flaked off, that is supposed to be 1.5KOhm, it still measures 1.5KOhm. I also checked temp of that resistor with thermal cam. its about 140C.
So far checked incoming voltage and board voltage. Both DC output and...Last edited by michalk3777@gmail.com; 01-30-2023, 11:10 PM.

Looking for discontinued Mitsubishi MCU - M306N1MCT
Hello,
If this is not correct forum I apologize, I looked on the store page but did not see anything even close to this.
I need help finding a replacement MCU. Its from a Seadoo gauge cluster. Made by Mitsubishi, part No. M306N1MCT-203FP (bottom one on the picture, specs. attached). Cannot locate it anywhere. If anyone can point me to where I could find one in either USA or Canada that would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Michal...

Re: Sony XBR65X810C - Completely Dead - no lights.
Finally got around to taking the panel apart.
Tested all the LEDs by supplying 18v to each strip and all of them light up.
See picture.
Unfortunately during installing the LCD panel it cracked.
The TV is toast now.
Just for my learning what would be next step....

Hi Diah,
thank you for your reply,
I'm not that well versed.
Does the BL error mean there is an issue with the Backlight circuit? Or are you saying the LCD panel is bad?
Should I take the panel apart and test the LEDs? Trying to understand better.
Thanks again for your expertise.

Sony XBR65X810C - Completely Dead - no lights.
Hello
Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays.
I realized I did not follow all the instructions for posting, so trying to do it right this time.
Previous post: Interpreting Service Manual Troubleshooting Steps.
TV is completely dead, no lights,
It has a bottom centre white stdby light, it does not come on, the optical socket does not light up. when I insert a usb stick with LED it does not light up.
I tried reset by unpluging an holding vol.- button.
Pictures of boards included.
Power board seems to be providing...

Hello
Thanks for responding.
Q6802 is hard to read, its marked as K8A50D.
TV is completely dead, no lights,

I posted the tests of the Power board. It looks like its providing the right outputs.
The problem is the main boards are very expensive and hard to find, so want to eliminate everything else.
Like you said I realized...

Re: Interpreting Service Manual Troubleshooting Steps
Thanks for your response.
Yes ref. is ground.
Would simulating some load help in troubleshooting the BL circuit?
I just picked up an XBR55800G for free that powers up but has a broken screen.
the main board is different but the power board looks identical, GL6 board,
I;'ll check the numbers tomorrow when I open it up.

Re: Interpreting Service Manual Troubleshooting Steps
Hello Davi,
thank you for trying to help me out.
I'm good to start from the beginning.
I was not available for a while but I now have 2 weeks where I can work on this, and hope to get this fixed.
So I disconnected everything from the power board and got the following results.
Testing GL6 Power board
Main board connector disconnected
3.5 STDBY only
Main board connector connected
Pins:
AC_OFF_DET: 3.5V
POWER_ON: 3.5V
REG12V: 12.7V present
Pins:...

Re: Interpreting Service Manual Troubleshooting Steps
Sorry for the delay, I don't have much time to work on this.
THank you for your inputs.
I found maybe 7 or 8 fuses on the main board, all of them had either 12 or 5V on both sides of each fuse. So they are all good.
I also checked pin1 of IC9017 and it has 3.5V.
As far as software goes. When I plug a usb stick and plug the TV in it does not even light up, so its not reading anything.
Any other ideas I could try?
These boards are expensive and out of stock everywhere.
I...

Re: Interpreting Service Manual Troubleshooting Steps
Thank you RJ, my bad, I read both Resistors as the same number, I actually checked R9176 and got 0V.
So next step says:
Check POWER_ON
P-on ucom #pin19
Is the voltage >3.0V?
I'm not sure about this again, as there is no pin#19 on any of the boards that is named POWER_ON. I checked POWER_ON pin on the main board which is Pin#22 and Pin#9 on the Power board, they both have 3.5V.
So that takes me to the next step:
Check P_ON_LNB
P-on ucom #pin15...
