    Hi, would be interesting, i bought 2 of them beginning if this week, and they have both the SAME issue ... left AND right, about 6 cm from the border some vertical lines in black, blue, red, green, which dissappears about 15 minutes after powering on..... these are not visible when the picture is black (like on broken display where the defective line shines bright as the sun even the picture is black!!!) so what is the issue ? mainboard problems with heat or faulty caps ? or the ribbon cables ? i want to dissassemble one of them next weekend...

  • Geforce 980TI black screen :-/

    Hello i got a defective Geforce 980Ti, if i plug it in the PC and attemt to boot theres a black screen and the graphiccard fans blow at maximum. PC seems to boot normal but no picture.

    i found some interesting informations about current 1080 models they produce the same error if VRM overheats and then quit function in the same way, but only temporarely

    so i think something is wrong with the VRM Power Supply in my card.

    so how to find the bad component... i search the card optically and i found a small SMD tantalum capacitor - Value: 33uF 16VDC that...

    Hello Everyone,
    im new here, iam from germany and iam 36 years old ...

    i sign up to this page because i want to know more about bad caps and their behavior.

    at the moment i want to repair a geforce 980TI , it seems there is something wrong with the internal power supply. i will write mor einformations in the new threat in the matching subcategory
