  • Of course if it gets powet it heat up. But its not normal fot the voltage to drop. Inject 0.8 on pch, tje voltage stay 0.7 and the current is los 70mah, you ingect 0.8 on the cpu where should be 1.05v, and the voltage drops from 0.8v to 0.5v and the current is 250mah and the only bit thatvgets hot is the same corner that flare when connecting the adapter. So voltagevdrop on cou, allot of current, same corners !nd all other voltages are present, fot me its obvious the cpu is dead. If you have any idea please share it instead of poing the obvious.

  • I checked the 1,05V on UX4713 (cpu) and UX4604(pch). The input 1.05V 1,05v on pin 1 and 3v on pin 5 its present on the 2. but no output in pin 4. I tried injecting 0,8V on pin 4 and on the cpu one the voltage drops and the same corner lights up, so I think is game over for this. Bellow its a video of the fault.

  • LENOVO IDEAPAD 3 14ITL05 dead

Hi, I have a LENOVO IDEAPAD 3 14ITL0, apparently was working one day, dead the next. It has orange light so it does charge the battery (see photo 3) about 1A. Without the battery its 70mAh. Non of the coils have low resistance. The 3.3v is present, the 5v is present, 1.8v is present. power button has 3.3v, the bios chips have 3.3v. I tried removing the rtc to reset the bios, with no change. I tried to reflash the 2 bios chips, with no change. I tried unplugging everything from the board, no change no matter what 70mAh like in the photo.

Checking with the thermal camera, as soon...

  • All the shields are back, alhow, the main shiend only has 2 screws left one on each side, still , it how it cames, it not the first time this phone has the screen replaced. It had another lcd no oled, and because was really cracked with no image I couldn't test it before. Anyway I don't think the problem is the problem is possible disconnect or fracture on the solder balls between the boards, because pressing on the board with the phone on and the screen attached doesnt turns off, also pressing on the screen while is out of the frame, does not turn off.

I will try to cover the back...

  • iphone XS turns off when press on screen.

    Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

  • Mac Air A1466 not starting

    Hi guys,

I have a Mac air A1466 2015 8GB, it came dead, no light on charger, nothing. The current on the psu was about 45mah. After reflowing the SMC, not I get light on the charger, its charging the battery, cpu has 1,8V, ram vas voltage, ssd too. So when pressing the power button with the battery in the current jumps to about 1,8A, without the battery, when its off, its about 40mah, pressing the power goes to agout 500mah, cpu gets warm, ram too, but no fan spin and no image. I know its coming on because I see the current change on the psu.

    The cpu has about 6,8ohm,...

    Bios Satellite Pro C50-E-10C

Can someone please help. I have a Satellite Pro C50-E-10C (bellow all details) the keyboard wasn't working, but with the keyboard disconnected shoring the PW button on the keyboard connector was working fine. I know, it's obvious the fault is the kb, yet just for the sake of argument I tried to backup the bios and program another. I made 2 backups just in case (see the attachment), after flashing the new bios, the laptop boots to black screen. I tried to program back each of the 2 copies I made and it's the same. With one it takes about 400mha and with the second it takes 600mha then goes to about...

  • Hi guys, I have a HP Elitebook G5 3JX31EA#ABE with the serial number: 5CG8524B48. It was dead, sometime starting on black screen sometime not, I flashed the EC chip with the bios from post 15 and the main with the bios from 12. I tried few other versions, but with the one from post 12 it boots in about 20 seconds. But with all the versions I get the Security Device Problem on every boot. I tried to reset the TPM and the fingerprint but still the same error. here are the original dump files. Please help. The motherboard is COMPUTRO-6050A2945601-MB-A01(A1)...

  • Asus UX533FD no power

Hi guys, I need a bit of help, I have a Asus Zenbook with motherboard UX533FD Rev 2.1. Connecting the laptop draws 30mah and not coming on, Measuring the coils I got the values below. Measuring in resistance all coils have normal values, cpu about 8ohm and the gpu about 5ohm but I guess its normal. Checking with the thermal camera, the only 2 chips that have a bit of heat signature are the U3501 (pd controller) and the U3001 that is the KBC. Now I guess the PD controller it's not the the problem because the battery is fully charged and trying to turn on on battery is the same.

    Just...

  • I did replace the IO board and the cable before, with the same result, so the problem must be on the screen itself. I checked the track from the scl/sda pins and they pass to a test point and from there i see it gows directly to the big connecter, nothing in between, so its either the main board or the screen, either way since the only problem is the auto brightness and for its age, its good as it is for now. Just to education purpose I will check where this lines goes from the logic board,

  • ok. Its working now. Pin 1 is the ground and its the first pin towards the speaker connector. I measured the voltages not on the pins so I dont short any but on the test points. Second and third pin was showing like 5V then droping same for pin 4. I should have measure the resistance with the camera cable connected on pin 5 and 6. Pin 5 or 6 i cant remember was showing 3,3v and the other 0,5v. Anyway what I did is desolder pin 5 and 6 that are the last 2 pins so they don´t make contact with the board, and now runs fine.

The fan speed its normal, the webcam works fine, the cpu usage...

  • Thank you for taking the time to reply, good idea, pin 1 is GND so the opposite is i2c bus. I will measure the voltages tomorrow with the connector plugged and removed but I think desoldering the 2 i2c pins should fix the problem, I´ll update tomorrow. Thank you.

  • Ok, I got it. I´m attaching the schematic and boardview in case someone needs it for the main board 820-3209-A and the schematics for the IO board. I see from the schematics that on the CAMERA/ALS connecter that pin 5 is scl and pin 6 is sda, I´ll check them tomorrow under the microscope they too small. Just to confirm pin 5 and 6 of the connector are the las 2 from the left wright? Maybe I can desolder pin 5 and 6 just to try.

  • Mac Air A1466 2012 cpu 300%

    Hi,

I bought a mac air 2012 very cheap, because the customer didn't want to fix. After reflowing the ram chips the laptop works fine, I tested the ram and no error. But The fan goes at max speed after few seconds. Running the Apple diagnostic finds an error 4SNS/1/C0000008: Th1H--124. and the cpu usage is like 300%, After disconnecting the webcam cable that on the 2012 model is on the IO board, the laptop, the laptop runs fine, and running the apple diagnostic finds no errors. So the problem is related with the webcam, but I suspect the problem is no the webcam but the light sensor....

  • The RTC is 3.3v but the cpu vcore nothing, I removed the 2 coils, still no voltage, but measuring the resistance with the coil removed I get on the cpu side 0.5ohm and on the other side on Kohm range, my leads are 0.2ohm, so I think cpu is busted, but just wondering even if the cpu is dead removinf the 2 coils there no short so I should get on one side of the coil 0.8 or whatever the vcore voltage is....
