Re: Vizio E601i-A3 Blown fuse on powerboard
Okay, I now have audio, remote works, but no back lights. I can see the video with a flashlight. Making progress...
pin 12 is LED-BR 2.091V
PIN 11 IS LED-ON 3.242V
pin 10 is BL-ERR 3.295V

Re: Vizio E601i-A3 Blown fuse on powerboard
Spoke too soon, I had it up and running for a few hours, but when I did a 10 on off cycle test the component failed again. I am going to have to replace the chip and a diode as well as the MOSFET.
If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing twice.
Thanks BUDM, you are the authority. Getting everything sent in, I am very confident this will solve it.

Well, I got lucky. I replaced the MOSFET and it has been running for about an hour now with no issues. Thanks all for the help.

Look correct?

Re: Vizio E601i-A3 Blown fuse on powerboard
it was a FDPF 16N50
I have one on order, please elaborate on other components to check, I am new to this and am not sure what specifically you are referring to when you say PFC controller. Is this a single component or a configuration of components?

Re: RCA LED65G55R120Q TV Set Power issue?
Well, the person decided to take it to their brother to be worked on. I may never know the root cause. Thanks for the help.

Still my main cap is only seeing 167.9 vdc

Re: RCA LED65G55R120Q TV Set Power issue?
The voltage is 4.46 v with the switch depressed and when it is not. The power on button makes no difference at all, there are no power leds even lit up on the tv to indicate standby power.

This is the state all of the time, all of these voltages are present but no leds are lit anywhere and there is no ability to turn on the tv.

No, no video, no led nothing at all.

Re: RCA LED65G55R120Q TV Set Power issue?
I am going to jump in here and say, that I have this exact setup and I am not able to get power to come on but my voltage readings confuse me. Here is what I get at the power board capacitor: 166.9 vdc
At con2 I get
Pin
1 EMPTY
2 EMPTY
3 GND
4 GND
5 13.23 V THIS IS LABELED AS 12V
6 13.23 V THIS IS LABELED AS 12V
7 GND
8 13.23 V THIS IS LABELED AS 12V
9 GND
10 GND
11 GND
12 5.1 V THIS IS LABELED AS 5V
13 5.1 V THIS IS LABELED...

Re: Vizio E601i-A3 Blown fuse on powerboard
The cap measures good with the esr meter. There is a grey colored adhesive applied to the cap, I am assuming to support it. The reading between the S and D pins is a dead short....

Remember, out of circuit, the rectifier tests correct accoirding to the datasheet.

By the way, the discoloration around the leads for the rectifier were done by me. I took it out and tested it and it was fine.

Here you go. I thought I had attached them, but obviously not....Last edited by bkdadto3; 02-13-2018, 03:13 PM.

Vizio E601i-A3 Blown fuse on powerboard
I can not see any obvious signs of a failed component, sticker on the board is
V09-60CAP000-00 F0020AA0B6WT 1260
I am just getting into this new hobby of repairing tv's, so please forgive my ignorance. I inspected the card and can see no physical damage, discoloration, or signs of being stressed. I replaced the fuse and it immediately opened. I am not inclined to replace any more fuses without identifying the root cause, but must admit I am stumped.
I purchased an ESR meter and the big caps look good as well as the yellow blocks look good on the card....

Samsung LN55C630K1FXZA FLickering backlights low filter cap voltage
I have a bn44-00342b that is not getting the proper voltage at the main filter caps, it is only about 345 vdc. The back lights are cycling on and off or flickering at a rapid pace. I am able to see a picture and get sound, but the back light intensity is low (obviously). Need to know why this is not going high and keeping the lights on constantly.
I was looking at a thread for the BN44-00341 about some resistors that can cause this and was wondering if this were the case here. If so, what should I be looking at, testing, replacing to get this back in service. The "same"...
