Added a new one to the mix. HP 570-p013wb i3-7100, 8gb ddr4 2400,1tb WD blue and mid case. I'm setting it up for me so playing around more.
Is there anyway to upgrade from 10 home to 10 pro free? It's what came on it and the xp pro are the only ones I have keys for. My 7 pro is of iffy origin and uses a oem key that I couldn't even download a copy of 7 pro with when I tried years ago.

I tried to introduce her to android on a 8" tablet and it didn't go well. Then again I'm fairly android illiterate myself but getting better since I picked up a couple tablets and don't mind breaking them. Although the 10" lenovo seems decent and perfect for mobile computing, movies/music at camp and maps etc..
She used a pc every day for 30 years but didn't get how they work. She started with punch cards and ended on win7 or 8. She brought home backups of programs she wanted to keep one time on a floppy. Yup backed...Leave a comment:

Well I now have two pc's with windblows 10 home and never used it. What do I need to shut off and not do? The one will be used by an old lady and the I3 by me and will probably end up dual booting with a flavor of linux.

Not sure if relevant but just had a standard drive that wouldn't show on 7 pro. A WD mypassport 1tb for mac. Using linux mint 13 maya xfce 4 it seen it and could format it every which way. Windows wouldn't see it until I installed the WD utility and formatted it with it.Leave a comment:

The board with the dvi/vga gets clam shelled in a metal cover.
The FC/PW is only available for the 1 cap that is on it's side. The other 6 I'm unfamiliar with the series available. The impedance seems like it might be important also.
On the plus side I have a new camera DVR with known crap caps that I want to replace also. Just have to figure out what series of the brand they are. Feel better about paying more in shipping than the order cost if I can kill 2 birds with one stone.Leave a comment:

The 220uf are the 8mm diameter and have the tri score top and the 100uf are the 6.5mm. I can mark them and upload a pic of the back side of the board if it helps. It has pin out markings also so good for getting a documented fix if it works.Leave a comment:

How about on the smaller ones where only UTT and ML for the 220uf and ML, URZ ,MH7 and UTT caps for the 100uf are available? These are the ones I've not used. Hanns-g HL248
Hi guys, have a HL248 that was going black or I'm thinking scramble lines sometimes. Sometimes it would work fine but seemed like code on a page would make it fail. Other times straight to black. It's been in storage a while and pulled the boards before trying again so going off memory.
I've heard of a successful fix on this monitor just replacing the caps. My problem is I'm trying to figure out the best caps to put in it that will fit. None of mine look bad. Has anyone had similar problems and fixed one of these yet?

Could you not add a brake? Power gets cut from breakout and mechanical brake applied. Common z axis add on with ball screws and rails in hobby machines.
If you can transfer the software share and files to a new pc atleast for testing I'd try that first. After ground checks.
