Lenovo t470p - bad crc of security settings in EFI
Hi,
I changed my BIOS with UEFITOOL and I flashed it just fine. After the changed BIOS is flashed I got the following error: "bad crc of security settings in EFI".
Just for curiosity, where is the CRC value stored? Is it in the BIOS or is it in some other chip?
How can I avoid this problem in the future during the BIOS modding?
thx.

[Lenovo] Where is the BIOS password stored
Hi,
This is a generic question regarding Lenovo t460s/t470/t480. Where is the BIOS password stored?
I found a winbond chip and I was able to read the content just fine. I can open it with UEFITool so this is the UEFI.
I read it from my test machine and I just flashed it to my other test machine with no issue. However the password remained the same.
So where is the BIOS password stored and how can I overwrite it?
thank you!

I extracted this BIOS download from Lenovo and the file size of the FL1 is 9197KB. I tried to replace...
