I'm a noob so have patience, please!
I've been trying to remove the password from my Elitebook 8470p.
I've followed several tutorials, either from here or from elsewhere mentioned here.
Long story short:
after some long hours trying to read the flash chip with a Beaglebone Black, I finally succeeded!

Setup:
-Beaglebone Black (rev. A5C) with wifi dongle, monitor & keyboard;
-desktop PSU;
-SOIC16 clip;
-latest Debian 2Gb image (9.5, I think);
-Flashrom.

The chip is a Winbond...
