  • a2141 820-01700 charge only with one port

Hello friends, it's been a while.
Model A2141 came to me for repair.

I confirmed that there was a short in the ppdcin line and that the capacitor was blown.

All the short line capacitors seemed to be in bad condition, so I replaced all c7043, c7024, c7026, c7027, c7029, and c7042.

The short is caught and the power is turned on.

However, when the power is turned on with the battery installed, only one charging port works and the other three display 20V but 0 amps.

If you plug in the charger when the battery is not installed...

  • a1706 820- 00239 works with charger cable

    hello everyone

    i have a problem to a1706

First of all, it was delivered because the power was not turned on.

5v was confirmed on the voltage meter.

The battery was removed and checked.

A short was confirmed in the ppvin_g3h_p3v3g3h line.

During the tracking process, u7000 and d6902 were replaced and u6903 was reballed.

The cause was c7081, and when I removed it, the short went away.

However, 5v still came out from the voltage switch, and I confirmed that a short was coming out of the l6900....

  • hello sir

Because it was inspected in a pre-assembled state, everything could not be checked perfectly, but the screen came on.
Also, when I plug in the charger in the current state, there is a response to pressing the trackpad....

  • a2337 Power on but does not charge

    Hello everyone

    It's been a while since I had a problem

The 820-02016 model is the MacBook Air m1 model.

At first it seemed like the problem was caused by flooding, but someone cleaned it thoroughly.

I checked and when I plug in the charger, the meter shows 5v and loops. It shows 0.15 amps and drops to 0

The power appears to turn on when a battery with remaining charge is pre-assembled.
When the 12v line is pulsed, it drops from 12v to 8v to 6v and then rises to 12v again.

Likewise, the 5V line drops to 4V and then...

  • a2115 not power

    Hello everyone
    It's late at night here.

I have a repair a2115 model that came to me.

The symptom is that the power is not turned on and only check LED 1 is on.

It's the same even if you change the power board, and it's the same even if you short the on/off terminal of the power board with tweezers to check if the power button is defective.

It was difficult to find a board view of this model, so I took a picture to see if there was a short circuit, but I couldn't see the short circuit. Is there another way?

    I hope everyone has...

  • First of all, we've completed the repair.

Sir's kind explanation made me take a slow look at what I didn't see.

As a result, I rediscovered what I missed from the beginning.

I found a fine short on LDO circuit lines around cd3217.

It made me realize again by tracing back from the UG800 where corrosion was first seen due to flooding.

When I do repairs, I get stuck in one place and miss it like this, but the things you advise me felt like I was repairing together and it helped. Thank you.

    P.s / Oh really? I happened...

Turning on the MacBook works normally when the charger is unplugged, so you can boot it up without the charger connected.

Sorry, I guess I misrepresented something in the question.

Can I ask you a question via message? I'm worried about whether I understand what sir is saying....

  • sir
Just in case, I measured it again and this time the resistance value was the same as the normal board. Is my tester weird?

Yes and it outputs ~700k ohm...

  • thank you sir

When taken on a good board, only 1, 2, 3 to 4 show different values.

Are you talking about measuring from ground to point?

I recorded the resistance values in the MOSFET using 1, 2, 3 points and 4 points.

    Did I understand it well?...

  • hellio sir

I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, but if you measure Q5265 from 1, 2, 3 to 5, you get 0.710m ohm.

And if you take 4 to 5, it is measured as 15.42m ohm.

Is it true that you want me to take a picture like this?

    After measuring 1, 2, 3 to 4,

It comes out at 5.7 m ohm!!

I have the same board, so I took a picture of another board and got 11.2m ohm. Is this the problem??...

  • Thank you so much for your kind reply.

First of all, I skipped a lot of things and asked questions.

To be precise, I took a voltage meter and plugged the charger into my MacBook. It switches well up to 20v, but the voltage switch turns off, turns on again, and repeats turning off again when it shows 20v.

So, if I remove the charger, it boots normally. Currently, it turns on because there is still charge left, but if it is discharged, it will not be charged and will not be used.

So I short-circuited the battery and plugged in the charger with...

  • 820-02098 not charging help me

    Dear friends
    Merry Christmas

I came out to work briefly today as well.

    I'm not unhappy haha

I received a MacBook Pro A2442 water damage.

When I connect the charger, it keeps turning on and off and the voltage indicator blinks.

When the charger is removed, the power turns on and remains on with the remaining charge in the battery.
After submersion cleaning, the submerged Q5240 and UG800 (elc180 power ic?) were replaced.

Still, the symptoms are the same, so I'm trying to replace the charging IC, but...

    Thank you.
The caps lock button is turned on when pressed. Which means the keyboard responds.

However, the display is not responsive at all. It's not dark either. It's just that nothing comes out.

    Cleaner uses 99% pure alcohol.

In conclusion, the screen is not responding at all and it doesn't come out even if I connect to the external monitor.

I was originally an iPhone mainboard repair expert, so I have a short experience in repairing MacBooks.

Thank you so much for answering!!.

I tried shining the light as you said, but I can't see any screen.

Is there a case that the backlight goes out of this model? ㅠㅠ
Which part should I look at

I want to solve it too much, but I am very sorry that I do not have information about the circuit....

    Thank you for answer!

In fact, I'm not a Macbook doctor like you did, so I don't know how to read schematics well.

And since the words came out, I was curious...

Sometimes there is a rar file other than the circuit brd file that members upload, but I can't open the rar file I wonder if there is a way to open this.

The reason I ask is just you're like a great master...

    oh!~ News

I just removed the circled part of the photo and stuck it back on.

And when I plug in the charger on this MacBook, there is a trackpad response, so when I take the charger out and plug it in again, the charger sound is heard, but there is no screen response at all.

And the power supply is charging, but if you give it 5 volts, it goes up to 1.2 amps, but it keeps dropping to 0 and then rising again.

I didn't do anything for a second, but something changed again.
    This time,...

  • a2289 macbook pro 2020 no boot

    Dear friends
I'm thinking that the MacBook Pro 2020 13-inch a2289 couldn't be solved during repair

It is said that beer burst out of the bag and became flooded.

The charging amperage was not normal, so when I looked for the short line, there was a short in the first picture and the chip was removed.

Then, when I plugged in the charger, the trackpad responded, but there was no boot up response.

As soon as the charger is connected, it quickly rises to 1.4 amps based on 5 volts, keeps it a little, and then falls back...

  • Re: imac a1418 21.5inch power

    Thank You sir

    I found the cause
The cause was the problem with the backlight chip
There was no screen response and no sound, but the cooler worked well.

Thank you so much for answering.

Backlight line capacitors went out and it was hard to replace them all.
