Update for anyone interested.

Replaced both DC-in MOSFETs and now it works just fine. Charges battery and the GPU is once again stable.

Q8900 is shorted. I knew from reading other threads that people here are quick but this was just insane. Really appreciate the help. Not quite sure why I didn't measure this one but there you go.

If that were the case it shouldn't turn on with charger only, right? I was a bit unclear on that part.

First post here, second if you count the introduction thread, so don't hesitate to tell me if I'm doing something wrong.

Bought a used Asus GL702VS which had been sitting for a while so it arrived with a dead battery. Plugging in the charger it came back to life and I didn't notice any problems with the computer. I also used it running on battery for 1-2 hours. I then played around with undervolting the CPU with the charger connected when a 10uF MLCC shorted AC_BAT_SYS. After removing the short, battery won't charge and the GPU has power limitations. I suspect that these are 2 different...

While I usually deal with audio equipment there seems to be a lot of knowledge outside of my normal interest which I'm now hoping to be a part of.
