I remember a lot of people before when my hard drive failed told me that I could do a couple of amazing things with backing up data. What stuck out is two things...
1. Software that will backup your data live via a cloud solution or over the internet without having a corporate cloud product.
2. Get a storage tower with hard drives and load them up.
What I mean is there software out there that you can install on your computer. You tell it which data you want backed up. Lets say your main PC with (2) hard drives and (8) hard drives connected to it via a tower....

Re: Backup To OneDrive Software? Everything! Best Software?
I see. So are you saying under the stairs is safe from fire? What if your house burns down?
Maybe buy two 8 Bay server towers ? Have one at home and one at a family members house? No way both houses can burn down at the same time....

Re: Backup To OneDrive Software? Everything! Best Software?
So you are saying that blackblaze and carbonite is exactly like having one drive on your computer?
Here is a lame solution below:
So far it looks like my best option is to:
Copy about 1TB of data to my onedrive folder at a time.
Then click “free space”
That will remove the data from my hard drive and leave it online with the cloud.
Rinse and repeat until all my data is on the cloud.
I was going...

Re: Backup To OneDrive Software? Everything! Best Software?
I agree. That can get expensive and excessive. However, I really like the one drive experience and accessibility.
Blackblaze or Carbonite put your data into a really crappy archieve state. Pretty much only good for if your hard drive craps out you have a back up somewhere in outer space. I hear you can even have them send you a physical drive for a Fee because you don't want to wait for everything to be downloaded.
I would rather be in 100% control of my data and be able to...

Re: Backup To OneDrive Software? Everything! Best Software?
That is interesting. I mean I have one drive business already on my explorer. I could drag and copy anything to it. However, it takes up hard drive space on my computer.
That may create a network only drive to where all it does is upload directly to the one drive and not add any extra data to one of my drives....

Re: Backup To OneDrive Software? Everything! Best Software?
I have around 64 TB of DATA I would like to back up on Cloud Storage. I plan to get a 5+/- business accounts with Microsoft in order to get unlimited cloud storage. I don't care that it will takes days/weeks to get all my DATA to the cloud. I just want a good clean backup that I can access. Great Point. I do not want it in an Archive status. That is Crap.
I need an EPIC piece of software that will let me transfer all of my DATA from my computer to one drive perfectly. Whether it be 5TB, 15TB or 64 TB. The sky...

Backup To OneDrive Software? Everything! Best Software?
I contacted Microsoft and they said they do not have software to where you could backup all your files to one drive. I mean you can copy some of your files to your one drive folder and back stuff up. However, it does not do this automatically.
I have around (10) hard drives I want to backup to the cloud with One Drive. What is the best software to do this with?
AOMEI Backupper
I Drive
Easeus
I do not want a Cloud Plan. I just need the software to take my DATA and Transfer it to the cloud in a nice, readable, viewable fashion. I wish...

L@@king for Cloud Storage! Easy Sharing, Easy Backup, Fast! Help?
Hello,
I know there are a couple of threads out there about this but nothing very detailed. I have checked YouTube, official websites, and checked pricing. I am looking for something kind of special and I am not sure if it exists. It may not.
What I want is something like Idrive with an Amazon Photos flare to it. I want to backup everything I have to the cloud and then be able to share it with ease. i.e. picture or video. (not necessarly need an account to view the file, however this is not a deal breaker) I also want decent speeds and for everything to not run like...

I found the problem. There is a stuck bit at this location:
Code:
Offset(h) 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0C 0D 0E 0F
00025C10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 08 00 00 00
^^
When I change the 8 to a 0, the CRC becomes 0x0000.
F3RomExplorer is happy with the edit. If you can reprogram your ROM after making the change, then hopefully you will recover...

Re: I'm and idiot. I tried to transfer my Firmware Chip. Maybe Fried It. Now What?
Well, looks like this is where my journey ends. For everyone that has been thoughtful and kind. Thank you. Looks like with the unexpected crash of this hard drive and the mistakes that I have made, I will not be able to retrieve this data. I will hold onto this drive-in case technology changes in the future or if I become independently wealthy and can afford a “professional recovery service”.
To all the negative people out there. Humans are human. We make mistakes even...

Re: I'm and idiot. I tried to transfer my Firmware Chip. Maybe Fried It. Now What?
Yea, I have been talking to them via email. I have one more shot with this bios and pros programing it or something. However, if this doesn't work out, looks like I will have to send this drive out to Ontrack, or another recovery service.
However, I will still have to decide if this data is even worth that....

Re: I'm and idiot. I tried to transfer my Firmware Chip. Maybe Fried It. Now What?
Recap:
1-Looks like my original bios was erased.
2-Looks like my original bios was only partially copied over to the new rom.: 512K worth.
3-I have one PCB Donor Board that boots up the hard drive and keeps it running but o/s can't read the data.
4. Data Recovery Place that transferred my bios to another PCB Donor Board, said they don't back up roms and they don't have my rom to email me.
What are my options?

Re: I'm and idiot. I tried to transfer my Firmware Chip. Maybe Fried It. Now What?
Update:
I got my original pcb board back and my original rom. They did put my original rom on another pcb donor board and the drive does not boot up at all. I do not even think it is allowing power to turn on the drive.
I put my best donor board with a random rom back on the hard drive and get this.

The drive stays on and sounds great. However, I’m afraid to initialize because I know it will erase my data...
