Your most likely getting lots of FFFF's because the clip isn't connected properly. I had the exact same model and for me I bought the 8 pin jig from eBay and removed the chip from the board, after that I got perfect reads every time. the ch341a clip is useless and the more times you try and use it tends to do more damage than good.
as for the software I'll have a look at mine tonight after work and give you a link to where I got my software which works perfectly....

blod can be many things I would suggest to reflow all the ram chips as a starting point. the chips are a lot smaller so temp setting should be around 200 degrees and flow each chip for around 90 seconds each one, also use flux, best is kingbo rma flux and mask off any other small components that might be near the ram. let us know how that goes.Leave a comment:

firstly I do not have any backups of my dump bin file because I had no choice but to flash a cleanme bin file and the laptop boots fine apart from the mud data is not valid while mpm is locked.
I do not know how to get rid of this error message but at least I am now making progress can anyone assist with step by step what to do now?

this is the serial number and part number detected using the hp manufacturing software for my hp elitebook 850 g1
serial number is 5CG44240HY
part number is GS267UP
if someone can help me with a new bios file that i can flash back to my bios that would be amazing and very much appreciated.
i have taken the chip 25aq128a eco13 off the motherboard no problem and i plan to erase, confirm erase and then flash the new bios once i have it.

I have attached the serial number and a short video of my issue.

hi everyone i have downloaded the correct bios update exe file from hp using the hp detect tool. the laptop has an administrator password on it which i don't have the password. i believe the bios has been attempted to be dumped and written using the hp unlock exe tool but the bios chip has been dumped with a bad dump and unfortunately has been erased and written with a bad unlocked.bin and now does not have a good backup of the original bios.bin

calibration is pid the 6500 manual does have an auto facility but can cause issues between the two pid controllers. also a pointless exercise is when trying to copy other users settings which will not be accurate. first and foremost you need to make sure your machine is 100% level then find out what the average temperature is in the room where the machine is..report back with the temp then I can begin to help you.Leave a comment:

hi everyone, ok I need some help so here goes..I have a hp 850 g1 which has an administrator password and just below that in the bios there are two more users. I have bought a ch341a and I also have the hp unlock.exe..i have desoldered the larger of the two chips that are on the board. I think I may have bought the wrong sop8 chip socket as attached because it's the 150mil version but my bios chip doesn't seem to fit in it causing my ch341a to produce ff and ffff when trying to detec. do I need the 200mil? also the chip I have is 25q128a 13eco 99chn 42005...Leave a comment:

the biosinfo.bin was dumped from the larger chip and the biosinfo.bin was dumped from the winbond chip hope that helps and thanks for the reply.

hi everyone i am hoping someone can assist me? i have a hp elitebook 850 g1, i have attched a ch341a using the clip method and according to the ch341a it dumped a file from the winbond chip which is still soldered to the board which the size that was dumped is 2,048kb in size. i saved it as biosold.bin and dragged it into the hpunlocker which then created the biosold_unlocked.bin
i then flashed this back to the winbond chip and verified the file which matched but the administrator plus other user names in the bios still remains. what could i...Leave a comment:
