Re: Philips 58PUS6809/12 doesn't turn on - LED turns on for a second and TV clicks
I hope I don't get in trouble because I reply to my month old thread, but I managed to fix the TV so I believe it's fine since someone might be able to get something out of this. Also, the replacement tcon board came yesterday so there wasn't really anything to update before that.
As you can guess, I wasn't really able to replace any components or anything since the "bootloop" made it impossible (at least for me) to get any voltage readings and I couldn't find shorts anywhere....

Re: Philips 58PUS6809/12 doesn't turn on - LED turns on for a second and TV clicks
Finally got time to get back to this. I've spent a few days trying to find shorts or get some readings but no luck.
I can't seem to get any voltage readings from the tcon board. I get around 0.1-0.5 volts before the TV reboots (for example on up2 in). If I remove the tcon cable so that the TV stays on I get basically nothing. I also removed the two flat cables going to the panel and that doesn't change anything so I think it's safe to say that the panel is working. What I find weird is...

Re: Philips 58PUS6809/12 doesn't turn on - LED turns on for a second and TV clicks
Thanks for the suggestion. I checked and it seems to be fine.
Doesn't seem to be a blinking pattern. It's exactly like you described.
Just tried to measure continuity between GND and some power rails but seemed to be OK so far. No beeping.
The button PCB doesn't seem to have any effect. And I think I actually made a mistake earlier. It's most likely not the IR/LED board cable I unplugged,...

Re: Philips 58PUS6809/12 doesn't turn on - LED turns on for a second and TV clicks
Thanks a lot for the service manual and tips!
I checked everything and when I unplug the SSB board (or what I called main logic board..) clicking stopped. TV was completely silent until I plugged in that board.
I then went and removed all the cables from SSB board one by one (speaker wires etc, excluding the one between PSU and SSB) and after removing the flat cable (CN408?) the panel lit up and no more clicking. That cable goes to the IR/LED board I think.

Philips 58PUS6809/12 doesn't turn on - LED turns on for a second and TV clicks
Hi all!
A few days ago my TV suddenly turned off while watching Netflix from my media PC. Only connected cables were HDMI and TOSLINK. It immediately started doing this loop where the power led turns on for a second and then turns off. You can also hear a click inside the TV every time.
I tried the easy stuff first like disconnecting everything including the power cord but that didn't fix the issue.
Now I opened the TV to check if there are any bad capacitors but as far as I can tell, they look okay.
I've attached a few pictures and...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello and greetings from Finland.
Like many here, I'm a DIY type of person and I try to fix stuff rather than go to the store and buy new.
I graduated in 2010 with an Electrical Engineering degree but funnily enough there was very little electronics involved and more computers and networking.. Some weird transition period in our school. This did spark the "DIY guy" in me and I've been trying to learn electronics by myself.
I work in IT and my hobbies are: Electronics, Computers,...
