    Just to report the problem persists; as suggested, the 150ohm pull-up resistor was strapped to the LPC CLK line, but made no difference. The board still repeatedly sounds two beeps, and video remains dead.

    Another thread by poster [B]yc630[/B] is more optimistic. He/she eventually recovered the IBSWME board by reflashing the BIOS after it stopped booting. Though there are several board variants and different BIOS revisions which apparently are not compatible with each other.

    I acquired a job-lot of these [B]IBSWME v.1.0[/B] boards; they were parted-out from the [B]Lenovo IdeaCentre 300S-11IBR[/B] desktop PCs. Sold as "fully tested", yet none of the boards reaches POST.

    No video output. Two beeps. Long pause. Two beeps. Repeat. Though the boards do detect when no RAM is present, by sounding one long beep then three short beeps.

    Hello, I'm Michael, and I'm addicted to IT. In particular I'm drawn to anything that has been thrown out as being "beyond economical repair".
