Just ordered one.
Is there a tutorial how to deal with ASUS bios and extracting part for the EC ?
PCB by its self without anything connected does same thing. Most likely EC firmware at this point.
There are no timing caps in circuit that i could suspect to cause issues so.........
Will see....

U3201 was brand new. It got flashed as soon laptop powered.
I believe asus has a section in the bios dedicated for flashing this Embedded controller as soon as it boots when its blank.
So my next question is: how to reset the EC so it would reflash its self ?
Otherwise i have to buy blank chip or buy vetryanov programmer for hundreds of dollars to flash it manually.

ASUS GA401IH ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 does not power off
Laptop was hit by a lightning.
Killed 1.8v, CPU, BIOS, embedded controller.
Fixed everything.
Laptop powered, works 99.9%>
Pressing power button ONCE does not turn it off.
I have to press it for 2 seconds and let go, then it will go into normal shutdown process.
If i hold it any longer, it will go into FORCED shutdown as expected.
I replaced the button, no change.
Replaced U3201 power switch/reset logic SLG4E42553VTR no change.
Anything else that can cause issues like that ?
Perhaps BIOS is not legit ? I dont have any... -

EVGA 1070 schematic and boardview please?
I think i looked long enough (couple of months now) for a board view for my card
EVGA 1070 and i cant find any.
All i find are similar cards and a PDF format boardview which isnt very helpful when it comes to tracing connections.
Schematics i have are for 1080, the values for caps and resistors are wildly different, i cannot use it for the purpose of identifying component values.
Does anybody know where to get boardview for EVGA 1070 ? -

9k from U7 (10th pin EN) to L20 (1.8v)

HI i have my 1070 missing 1v and everything else after that.
5V and 12V present.
The U7 chip on the board does get 5v and 3.3v but nothing on the EN pins
U7 chip is uP1728QDDA
I attached a photo of the card. Coil next to the U7 chip should read 1v as shown in red and 83 ohms shown in yellow.
where do i look for a problem ?
