I was trying to find a dedlcated thread for Sony OLED but unsuccesfull. Any chance you could share a link ?
Sorry for jumping in i alaway tought its a panel issue. I have screpped one sony for that issue. Now i have a nice big OLED sony with simmilar issue and i wonder if its for sure panel. Any advices ?
Its SONY 65AF9 and it powers on with almost black screen except part of it is like cloudy gray....
Thank you for reply. Indeed that is what i taught but these dots are seem to be different places. On one screen they are solid, change picture they move to other place. And lined that show up as well sometimes there is more sometimes less. I think its a panel myself but just wanted to confirm before i scrap it.
Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
hi all,
I'm an electronics eng enthusiast in the UK and recently started in a bit of TV repairs.
Two kids and my wife occupy my time most days and tv repairs take my evenings
PS. I think I'm writing the intro post for a second time and still not able to create new posts. Can please admin look at it?
hi all.I know its an old post but i have no idea how to start new post Can anyone help me with debug problem of tv giving some random pixels and lines. It does not come from tcon. Ether panel, ribbons or motherboard. Once i started moving tv around they change loction and some lines disapeared. Does it look to you as a pannel ribbons problem?...
Yes so caps has been changed yesterday with same result. red LED keep blinking and nothing happen. Model of TV is JMB JT014000101B... any idea. Could it be EEPROM problem ?
Its a blinking STANDBY light. Once I try power on tv the red standby LED starts blinking. It's the JMB 40inch... sorry cannot remember model from top of my head. I have removed power board and found one cap that looks not right (bulged at top). I have ordered replacement and awaiting it delivery today or tomorrow.
Other than that read on forums that JMB models have same symptoms when EEPROM corrupted so decided to give it a go as well.
Hi all, i know post is very old. How do get in touch with that Andy guy from Ohm supplies to order eeprom ? or possibly anyone knows a hax/bin file and part number so i can reprogram eeprom myself ?
