Re: Lg42lh3000 Remote
Thanks for your reply.
I had actually already cleaned the PCB with IPA but this had not solved the problem.
So I was about to give it another go when I noticed that the one of the metal directional button contacts, which are held in place on the PCB by a thin plastic membrane, had moved slightly out of position. So I repositioned the button contact, cleaned the board with IPA again and the constant led blinking stopped. The remote now works OK.
Thanks again for your help.

Lg42lh3000 Remote
Hi,
the led in the remote is constantly blinking (when viewed through a mobile phone camera) even when no keys are being pressed. I have separated the keypad from the pcb but the led continues to flash.
Can anyone please advise what is causing this?
Thanks,
-
Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi,
I'm a newbie to electronics repair looking to gain knowledge to repair stuff around the house. I found this site as it was recommended by the Learn Electronics Repair YouTube Channel.
I'm afraid I may be asking some really elementary questions!
