  • with hot air cant remove bios chip dell 0g60m3

    Hello folks,
an acquaintance brought me a motherboard from a Dell Latitude 5520 with the mainboard 0g60m3...
Bios corrupt and admin password from his children, they are 7 and 9y old.
Today I wanted to desolder the chip with hot air in order to be able to read it out and possibly rewrite it.
It's not the first time I've done something like this, but Dell is new territory. can it be that dell sticks the bios chips on? I could not remove the chip (W25R256JVEN). is there a how to or information?
    Thanks

  • Re: Dell Latitude 5520 need bios for it

hey Vesko356, what can I say, I would love to read the chip if it wasn't burned out.... I get today unfortunately only the motherboard handed... yes Dell batteries + chargers I already have enough..... as far as I've seen it a few days ago, it has only caught the Bios chip, the designation I could also only recognize, because an acquaintance of the neighbor has the "same" laptop. hope I get a bin that I can configure afterwards..... no sticker of the ST or SN on the chassis housing (was 2021) already once replaced because of water...
