I am attempting to repair a KVC50 kitchen machine. Problem is that speeds 1..5 on the speed dial do not work at all (motor is not engaged). The 'reverse' and 'slow' settings on the same dial however work properly. I removed the dial, its PCB components seems to be basic: a potentiometer, a microswitch, a couple of LEDs and a couple of SMD diodes or transistors. The dial has three cables with three connectors that hook up to the motor controller PCB. I am (trying to) repair a JVC HR-D530E VHS recorder. The problem was that the tape is not ejected. Pressing 'eject' results in some whirring of the mechanism, after which the machine shuts itself down. I discovered that if I fiddle with a mechanical part on the bottom (the so-called 'slider cam'), that the problem temporarily goes away. In the attached photo, it concerns that part within the red 'ellips'.

I am trying to repair a JVC HR-D530E VHS recorder, the cassette does not eject. I discovered that the rubber belt of the loading motor is slipping, so I'd like to replace it. I think I have to remove the (nylon?) washers at each end of the worm axel, labeled '2' in the photo. I tried using a small screwdriver and a pair of tweezers, but to no avail.

Is there perhaps a special tool or a trick required to remove these ?
