Re: Samsung Syncmaster T220 2 seconds to black
Yes. Just check if "4502C"is written on them. In my experience, changing them has resolved issues with late 2000s Samsung monitors.
Desoldering and soldering is better achieved with hot air + solder gun....

Re: Samsung Syncmaster T220 2 seconds to black
Hi, Ori!
Please check if the 2 mosfets under the board are the AF4502C.
Changing these would fix the monitor in most cases....

Re: HP 1955 - Backlight not working
Hello fabianard and welcome to the forum!
This is a well known problem which i remember very well, repairing lots of these Benq PSUs.
In general, there a 7 elements failing, 4x C5707 , 2 x FU9024 also the PF701 3A fuse.
You can buy them as a kit, (if they are still available, its been a while i dont see these monitors around) or separate.
It is discussed in this forum before, that it is essential to resolder the joints mainly the transformer legs, as this board suffers a lot.
I think its a simple...

Re: Vestel 17MB130P short circuit on 3.3V
Maybe you should inject a 3V from a more powerful power supply (or battery) to this rail.
If you are lucky, a smd capacitor will blow up, and the short will clear.

Re: Samsung UA32F40000AR Not Switching on
The culprit stays in main cpu. So were we told at the official service repair center. In the F6000 smart models the issue relays in the emmc. Both chips are bga.

Totally fault of the samsung lcd.
cheers.

Re: Lg 55lv5500 - ta
If the chip overheats in seconds for sure it is faulty, very common. For reflowing i would recommend using a usual cooking plate as a preheater, cover any connectors or sensitive components with alu foil and start gradually rise the temp. when the pcb reaches 150' you can reflow at 230-240 for 2-3 minutes. Dont forget rma 218 quality paste. Reballing is another story, if you dont have a new (or known working) chip , all that job is pointless, reflowing will do just fine.

Re: bn44-00264a Does anyone like a puzzle? Please help!
Are you confident to measure the voltage accross these caps? You can attach the negative probe to the heatsink in the hot side and with the red probe try to touch the positive leg (if you can) of these capacitors.
These caps are connected to the lines which feed the main driver of the nearby transformer. They must have a steady 9-15V....

Re: LG 50PN450B, first attempt :smoke, worth it trying again?
thank you for your time and efforts guys. Sadly i ran out of ideas so handed the faulty tv to the owner.
It is still a mystery to me why it arced like it was working on thousands of volts, no kind of insulation could handle it. The display on those tenths of sec showed an erratic grey screen like a no signal tv tuner.
Anyway, i have to study again because plasmas are still a dark spot in my electronics knowledge. You can recomend me some literature.
Thanks again.

Re: LG 50PN450B, first attempt :smoke, worth it trying again?
The lower flex was isolated well with the rubber adhesive. To my surprise the upper flex started arcing with a loud buzz. Am i missing sth? Is this more complicated than just some IGBTs in the Zsus? Or the ICs which drive the IGBTs are also shot and they produce erratic behavior of the ZOut.
The reason while i am still asking for any clues is that i dont want to damage a working Zsus which i can find for 40$.

Re: LG 50PN450B, first attempt :smoke, worth it trying again?
Managed to find some similar IGBTs from salved pcbs. The arc is definitely there with a loud buzz. It is inside the chassis near the flex, i made an illustration.
Now it seems strange to me, why does it have to arc there, Z-out - GND is max 200V i guess. The gap between the 2 legs of the SUS_Dn transistor is 2mm, it can always arc there. Or maybe the flex is broken inside the glass and the PDP is gone forever.
Next thing, ill try an insulation between the flex and the chassis and see what happens. thank...

LG 50PN450B, first attempt :smoke, worth it trying again?
Hello, its been a while since i havent been active in this forum, but now i am back in the business.
Here s the story:
A 2014 Lg 50" plasma recycling.
Disconnected the VS connector from the psu. The tv started without display, normally.
Inspected the zsus and found that 1 of 3 IGBTs at the SUS_UP was shorted.
Since i had no 30F133 available at the local stores i decided to give it a try with 2 transistors. No success, but then i find out that the 2 IGBTs of SUS_DN are shorted too. I fail to remember well if i measured them before or not.
Anyway i...

Re: Bga Pads Lift Repair.
this is the ATI chipset with embedded hd4200 graphics. 1/4 of the pins are either NC or double connections to GND or VCC. So if you are lucky, give it a try as it is, and maybe everything will work. i have always had success with this chip.

Re: Samsung LE40A65A1FXXA
The very last one which is still in my workshop for 3 days is beyond repairable.
Had success only with ones which bonds are VISIBLY disconnected from the upper pcb. Any other could be just a temporary fix....
