  • Re: Chimei CMV 221D - Question about replacement capacitors

The only thing I see on the Capacitor is Forever(in cursive) so I will replace that one also I noticed that 3 of the capacitors that this other guy replaced are wrong (in the pictures of the board that is just like mine) it shows them as 470uf 25 v, and he replaced them with 330uf 25 v so that seems like that is an issue. the brand name on those is Choyo ...lol I am new to this but I have had pretty good luck with repairing things, it's just that I know how to repair the things I just need to get up on the lingo for what...

Yes it was a typo it is 19M009. And the location of the capacitor is CE103 the person that replaced the capacitor put in a "Forever 1000uF 35v capacitor" and I am wondering if that is the cause of it going off still?

I am new to this site and I am looking for help with my Chimei CVS221D Monitor, I have seen a few post that seem to be some of the same symptoms that I am having when I connect up power and computer cable up yo my monitor it has power and will come on for about 2 minutes and then go black but the power light stays green. Some else tried to replace the capacitors on the power board and I think that they installed the wrong rated kind in the pics that are in another posted question it shows the right capitor but I am unable to see any numbers showing what type it is and I need that to go get a replacement...

The problem I am having with my monitor is that it will come on but will go off after 2 min. and I think that with the problem of having the wrong capacitor and some badly soldered areas(done by the previous owner) this is the possible cause(s). we will see once I get to replace the one he has put in.

Hello I have the same kind of board from my CMV221D that I am trying to replace the capacitors on and in the photos by Agent24 there is the same capacitor that I need to replace but it shows no value on it in the pic and the board I have someone has replaced it with the wrong one how can you tell the value? the one in the pic is the one to the left of the barcode strip that says KF 105 c P630 VENT on it...if you can't tell me what type goes there where could I get a schematic for this board DAC19009? thanks

Hello, I am Joel. I repair misc. items as a hobby. I like to repair most any electronic device from video gaming systems to dvd recorders and now computers. I sometimes have found things that I have been able to get for free and then repair them for my own use or give away to friends. Right now I have a connection where I am able to get alot of top of the line computers that have different issues or LCD screens that don't work and I have got some good ones that I have repaired very inexpensively. I just recently got a 22"...
