Re: Vizio GV42L HDTV amber light no pic only clicking rapidly
With both inverter boards unplugged and leaving the main board connected to the power board the logo stays amber and the clicking continues. When I disconnect the main board from the power board the clicking stops.

@budm Attached are the pictures you asked for. I took three pictures of the main board (from left to right). Also attached is the picture of my inverter board showing which relay I replaced.
I disconnected the top two white connectors and the clicking is still there. I did go ahead and disconnected the third white connector and the noise stopped. Not sure if that is helpful....

Re: Vizio GV42L HDTV amber light no pic only clicking rapidly
I located what I think is the U33. How can I test this? If this is whats bad, this is testing my skills on soldering......Last edited by schwegy; 09-28-2012, 12:21 PM.

Re: Vizio GV42L HDTV amber light no pic only clicking rapidly
I do not have any other testing equipment other then a quality multimeter. I attempted to identify the source of the clicking my simply touching each component in the area. The vibration is the strongest at the relay, but I understand this is not that wise or accurate.

Vizio GV42L HDTV amber light no pic only clicking rapidly
I need some assistance with my Vizio GV42L HDTV. Once I plug it in, the front logo lights up amber with no picture. I have a clicking noise that does not stop and is continues. I have open the TV up and replaced the 835-1A-B-C 12v R1 relay with no luck.

Vizio VX42L no sound and no picture
My TV w/ manufacturing date of March 2008 will turn on (vizio light goes from orange to white) and the screen lights up for a split second. I assume that's the black light coming on. There is no sound or picture.
After reading through the forums and followed some steps I came across a swollen capacitor. (picture below) I have also posted what I think would be a good replacement. My question is what this new capacitor be a good replacement....Last edited by schwegy; 01-12-2012, 05:46 PM.
