  • I did. But i ended up having a pro to change the bios chip itself and then changed another chip for some reason. Costed almost same as the computer itself…

    Where you able to fix this issue? I replaced the bios chip and going through the same thing. No nvme ssd detected, pcie wlan not working etc.

    i see that it was relating to the corrupt bios file? Or was it relating to tpm?...

  • unfortunately it is not that old of a system. The pcie nvme that is not being detected is actually what came from the factory and it was working fine.

    after long day of trial and error, noticed that the none of the slots are detected when used with different ssd cards whether it being nvme or sata ssd. Also noticed ethernet card is also not working nor is wlan wireless card. When booted up with usb external ssd with win10, i can see errors from device managers with no drivers for these network cards and unknown pci devices error.

    Dell optiplex 7090 boot problem

    Hi masters, need your help in solving this mystery.

    i have a dell optiplex 7090 micro that i bought from local kijiji.

    when i turn it on, error comes out saying no hard disk.
    i go to bios to check the boot option, only httpboot shows. If i try to add boot option, it only shows file search but nothing happens when i click.

    i took out the ssd and put it into old laptop and format and installed the windows 10 and put it back into the desktop. It boots up and same error again no hard disk.
    it seems as if the computer doesnt recognize the ssd...

  • Please bear with me as this is all new to me and trying my best to read up as much as possible.

    i bought a micro dell optiplex 7090 from local listing which happen to have admin password set. Looks to be off lease from a company that found its way in the market.

    since this is not a laptop bios-pass site doesnt work.
    tried removing battery with no luck and jumper trick doesnt work as there is no jumper.

    read about bios chip from here where experts helps out if i upload the bios reading. And this is where i am sitting.

    i will buy the ch341...

    Got it. In my case, i just used the beta pw bios site without changing the surfix which generated correct one!
