• Hi cangerules,
I have taken the liberty of adding notes beside your list of capacitors for people (like me) who stumble on this site and come across your post - the notes are clarifications for the cap Numbers on the board (specifically the DAC-19M009 BF, Rev 01A (other boards will differ).

• Hi BrianA_MN
My apologies for spreading confusion on the various DAC models.
Please disregard - I have ordered my capacitors (all 10 - if I'm going to do 8, I might as well re-cap all) and decided to re-cap my existing DAC-19M009 BF Rev 01A - I think this is the least confusing approach.
Thank you for the support, advice and the (most import) list of caps that need replacement along with (very important) photo identifying the caps.
Sincerely,
John Graham....

• Hi BrianA_MN
My apologies for another clarification and help request.
I was checking on the DAC-19M005 and it is completely different from the DAC-19M009 and does not have the Audio board - see photo attached.

The Viewsonics VS11349 also has the DAC-19M009 but with the audio section - see photo attached.
My Acer AL2216W has the DAC-19M009 but without the audio board - see...

• Hi BrianA_MN,
Thank you very very much on identifying the capacitor locations.
BTW: I got the capacitor values from https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubleshooting-hardware-devices-and-electronics-theory/troubleshooting-tvs-and-video-sources/49084-acer-al2216w-high-pitch-sound-dac-19m009-inside - Post #1 but wasn't sure about the "(2) 25v 1000uF ( one is also on its side)" identified in the post - you just confirmed it.
There are a couple of PSU boards for sale from AliExpress and fpscomponents.com (both are the DAC-19M005 but they don't have the audio section).....

• I came across replacement PSUs at AliExpress (see links below) - apparently, the DAC-19M009 can be replaced by DAC-19M005 through DAC-19M008 - can anyone confirm?

• As a side note: My Acer AL2216W has a different PSU than what is depicted here in Post #1 and other attached photos - mine is the DAC-19M009 - see attached.
Anyone know why? (maybe over the years, Acer has upgraded to different Delta PSUs).
Sincerely,
John Graham....

• Apparently, the Westinghouse LCM22W2 and the Acer AL2216W both use the same Delta DAC-19M009 (from the photographs on post #1 and my DAC-19M009 (see pic below). Correct me if I am wrong.
The Viewsonic (forget the model number) is different in that it has a auxiliary board for the audio....

• This is an old post and I'm hoping g you have the values you needed. But if you haven't: CE105 is 2.2mF 10V and CE109 is 220uF 25V.

• Hi cangerules,
I came upon your post after fruitlessly searching the internet and Badcaps. Thank you very much for identifying the capacitors
My monitor and PSU. are exactly the same as yours - Acer AL2214W and DAC-19M009 - but I don't have a high pitch sound - the monitor slowly died. On disassembly, I found 7 caps are bulging (2 of them also leaking), so I need to replace them. The only problem I have is that one of them (identified on the board as CE103) is glued horizontally to the board (above CE105 - 2200uF 10V) and when I tried levering it off, the glue stripped the capacitor...

• EXCELLENT advice! I managed to get 6 of my 7 bulging (2 are leaking) capacitors Unfortunately, I don't know the value of one that I require as it is glued to the board and breaking the glue also stripped the capacitor values (uF) but left the voltage rating intact. I have the Delta DAC-19Moo9 Rev 01A and the capacitor is marked CE103 on the board.
Would you (or anyone on this forum) know what the value should be?
My apologies for not posting a photo of my board, but every time I do that, my post is "UNAPPROVED".
Sincerely,
John Graham...

• Hi Hoadle,
I came upon your post as I have an Acer AL2216W and you fixed 5 of the Acers. Unfortunately, this tread shows a different Delta DAC (don't know what the model is as the photos posted are fuzzy) but mine is different (DAC-19M009 Rev 01A). Does this DAC sound about right to you?
The electrolytic caps on the inverter side (7 caps out of 8) are bulging and 2 are leaking and I would like to replace them.
Sincerely,
John Graham...

• Hi BrianA_MN,
I also have a Delta DAC-19M009. You mention that you changed CE103. Do you by any chance remember the value of the cap? I'm trying to repair my board but the glue that holds CE103 down stripped the value of the cap. All I can read is the voltage (10V). But I can see a 2 (then reading stripped) and F and 25V. The schematic I got for the 19M008 shows a 1KuF 25V. The photo you posted is the exact one I have of my PSU board including the Rev. I know this is an old post, but any help will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
John Graham....

• Hi again,
Please see my previous post (above) on replacing bad caps on a Acer AL2216W power board (Delta DAC-19M009 Rev01A) where I ran into a problem on identifying a cap (I'm sure most everyone would agree that replacing a cap willy-nilly with another, by guessing the value of capacitance, would be foolhardy as the circuit was designed with certain cap values).
Further research on the Internet yielded a source for an identical (???) replacement power board.
I thought that getting a replacement power supply (Delta DAC-19M009 (mine is Rev01A) would be less grief (and anxiety)...

Hi,
I have an Acer AL2216W with the Power board as the Delta DAC-19M009 Rev 01A -see pic attached.
I stumbled on this forum while researching bad capacitors (the bane of cheap electronics) for my power board above.
While trying to identify the caps I need to replace (the tell-tale bulging/domed/leaking electrolyte or powder/etc), I had to lift one capacitor (CE103) that was soldered "flat" (instead of vertical) - see arrow on my photo attached - and the...

• Hi,
I'm new to this forum and stumbled on it when researching bad capacitors that plague us on cheap electronics. I'm not new to repairing electronic boards (as I have to on my old and outdated analog equipment) but any new ideas/methods/etc are always a pleasure to me - I'm not an expert and learning by doing is what I enjoy most.
