Re: Panasonic SA-AKX16 CD STEREO SYSTEM (DEAD)
Hi,
Thanks for the schematics and information.
I have checked the following pins for voltage at IC2006:
Pin 17 - 3.28V
Pin 18 - 1.81V
Pin 37 - 1.81V
Pin 89 - 3.28V
Pin 100 - 3.28V
Pin 8 @ IC2007 EEPROM - 3.28V
3.27V @ Q2001 RESET.
Thanks,
Albert....

Panasonic SA-AKX16 CD STEREO SYSTEM (DEAD)
Hi I have Panasonic Hi-Fi system that will not power up? It was working fine one day, went to turn it on the next day, nothing happened?
Checked the obvious - mains cable and internal F1 fuse, all ok.
Have replaced the following electrolytic capacitors:
C6 22uf 50V, C9 47uf 50V, C10 47uf 16V, C11 470uf 10V, C12 470uf 10V and C26 680uf 50V. C11 and C12 (470uf 10V) had very high uF values which I presumed was the main problem?
C1 and C2 both 330uF 250V check out ok using Atlas ESR meter.
I have the following DC voltages at CONN 2: (disconnected)
1. +33.7V...

Re: Caps With High uF
Hi, thanks for your help. I've not seen these Axia'x before and they came out of a Panasonic SA-AKX16 CD Stereo System which is completely dead. Am I correct in saying that if all the other caps were good on this board but I left these 470uF high value caps in place, would that have a serious effect on the unit?
Albert.

Caps With High uF
Hi,
I've removed some electrolytic caps from a Hi-Fi power supply which are Asia'x? Two of them both 470uF 10V have a high uF value, one reads 693.6uF ESR- 0.12R and the other one reads 670uF ESR-0.12R?
I presume caps have a tolerance, either 10 or 20% so even at say 20% they would be still over their uF limit? What effect will these have, will they still work?
Thanks,
Albert.

LOGIK L22FED12 No Image/Sound - Possible DVD Drive Problem?
Hi, have this LOGIK 22" TV which has no image or sound? I think it may have something to do with the integrated DVD player but not 100% sure?
With the mains cable connected and switched on, there is no STB light or blue on light but the DVD drive is spinning? If I disconnect connector C1102 on the PSU (4 blue wires) this stops the DVD drive from spinning and the blue on light comes on? Sometimes I can get the TV in to red STB light so able to turn the TV on using either the on/off switch or remote. I have tried another main/PSU board but get the same results as with the original...

BUSH-LED22982FHD-No STB-Fluctuating Voltage.
Hi, have this BUSH 22" TV that has no standby light, no image or sound. Have replaced bad diodes - D9, D25, D12 and D10 using UF5408, all new from same batch. Have 240.00 VDC coming in, fuse ok, 96.0 VDC across both sides of V1 (14N511K) Voltages stable (11.28 VDC) on D25, D12 and D10, voltage fluctuates on D9 - 24 VDC to 28 VDC? Checked caps in circuit with ESR, all seem ok?
Not sure what to check next?...

Re: Sony KDL-46X4500 - 6 LED Blink Code
EERRMM.. Just when you thought it safe to go in to the water.
Just dragged this TV from outside as I was repairing it in my shed. Now have it all connected up but have vertical lines appearing all across the screen?
As you know, I only replaced the inverter board so was not able to see any image until now, any ideas, possible t-con maybe, hope it's not the panel?
Thanks....

Re: Sony KDL-46X4500 - 6 LED Blink Code
Hi again, I rechecked the fuses, resistors etc. that BUDM asked me to and as before, they all seemed ok but having taken so many days trying to figure out the problem, I decided to take a chance and source another board.
I managed to find a second hand inverter board from the States, although not from shopjimmy, having said that, I have recently found out that shopjimmy do ship to the UK, just need to e-mail austin@shopjimmy.com.
Anyway, the board arrived the other day of which I have fitted and...

Re: Sony KDL-46X4500 - 6 LED Blink Code
Stupid question, but why does the GL board require 400 VDC?

Re: Sony KDL-46X4500 - 6 LED Blink Code
TV turned on, green LED on, 395.0 VDC on the GL board.
