I feel with you, Pepitoski, the same has happened to me, too - but fortunately not on such a pricey item as in your case. That's why I did not even try to desolder the flash chip, but soldered tiny wirewrap wires to the pins... Anyway, the challenge is now to try to salvage your motherboard. As pin 2 is the DO line, it probably goes directly to the CPU. So my best bet would be to remove the lacquer covering the via that is (or was) connected to pin 2, solder a tiny wire to the via and connect that to pin 2. This is just to let you know that I was able to successfully remove the supervisor password from my X270 (which I bought as "used" without being told that there was a supervisor password set, which the previous owner did no longer remember).
