Sorry about that. I should have looked more closely earlier.u can't see it in the shot of the top. Hopefully replacing that cap will fix it.

here are the readings. big cap 327vdc. Mainboard connector pins1. Jumps between 0 and -300mv 2. 4.98v 3. 4.98v 4. -0v 5. -0v 6. -0v 7. 4.98v 8. 4.98v 9. 0v 10. -185mV 11. -0v 12. 1v . i am going to replace the small ceramic capacitor that is blackened.

Here are the pics of front and back. As for fp???? i think that is fp 801. i tested it and it reads 0.7 ohms. what does fp stand for?
The transformers both read 426 ohms on the secondary windings, with the secondary end unsoldered from the board and the 6 prong end still soldered to board.
Circled in yellow are the areas that are discoloured, which is where the inverter transformers are. i'm guessing it is heat that causes that discolouration.

i have a vw222u and my board is also discoloured under t801 and t802. does anyone now if this is ok or are the transformers stuffed? on my board T801 and t802 also have small bulges on them.
are t801 and t802 part of the inverters??
my screen died recently, i smelt a funny electrical smell...
