ok i have a esr meter...0000....digtal..on the settings switch up10-10,000..and switchdown 0.01-10....id bad cap ...0000 and does not do anything?is that bad?dryed up?...now how about all number keep on rollingfast cant even tell what it reads?is that a shorted cap?leakage caps just the uf will be high means bad?....and i have aouther question...the digital

ok guys i found it....check this out..i studyed this all day..and yes the mother board is toast...un less u know what to look for and the led codes...remember the first post..about the led lights..well thay had a number
8001-8002...well i found out the thair curcuts...so thair more to them..so i would look around,what ever had 8001 next to it or the 8002section.and would look around thair.....that when i seen the hot side and cold side...hot side..is the power side....the cold side is the y and x boards.....now y wasent the cold side turning on when...Leave a comment:

ok,thx...but im going to try a differnt meter to make shore..i like the needle meters my self.....let me try with a diff..ok?..and ill get back..if i dont' well i have another tv..lol
but im going to give up yet...so far it was to easy to give up...what u have shown me..i want to get deep in this....if i cant get any volts to the y and x board....y only get 20 volts.swinging high and low...what would make that do that? please give me a best guess...thair still stuff that i can do to this mother board..test every cap and resister and transister...i...

ok i tested again....i cant get a stady reading....on standby and power up..my meter is just bouncing...but no were neer the voltage its suppost to be.....VA was the right voltage 70...that was the buffers in 1-2....now the power supply....witch board is it...ill post all boards
the power supply ...is that the mother board? the big one in the middle?

well check this out bill....i tested the SY and x-main ...Vs.....20v on both...it suppost to be 170v....the VA on the buffer plug.70v thats good......the ac input-125.00v....100-250v.....ill get the rest later ...but it looks like the power to the x main and the y main dont have enouph power going the vs..thats the red led8004..i knew it.ok now what do i check...or i have to pull out a cap and test it for the uF

how do you want me to test ....please explain...you said to test the volts no the y board...explain where to put the multy meter leads + - too.....once i get a true reading i can compare to what its suppost to .and how to check the driver chips... i dont know how to check driver chipsLeave a comment:
