Re: LG 65UH5500 Momentary Flash Of BackLights
Classic symptom of an O/C led in the panel. I did a 47" LG today exactly the same issue.
It only takes 1 to be dead to cause 1 sec to black on these LG's....

Re: panasonic tc-p50s60 bricked after firmware update?
Why did you originally update the f/w in the first place?
--What faults indicated to you to go to that extreme?
Regardless of what makers say, when updating f/w there's always a possibility of bricking it--no matter what the thing is, let alone TV sets with their multitude of different versions--Of the same set!
Route of last resort in my book, leave f/w alone unless you know for sure its the cause of the problem, and if there IS NO Problem, defo dont do it--don't even think about it!

No--The Address-Board is that one that runs along the Bottom Of The Glass of the panel itself,--the full width of screen.
Where the two/three pin lead/plug connects to that, thin bottom board there'll be a small oblong SMD (Surface-Mount) fuse.
--It may be partially covered by the metalwork strip that covers/heatsinks the COF chips along the outer-edge of the Glass PDP panel itself...
No Va to COF chips--for whatever reason, = no image at all.

Re: Panasonic TX-P42ST31B 7blinks
I second the cleaning of panel side, and re-tinning of all the mounting-points on any post 2008 Panasonic set and also replace the SN/SS board fixing-set-screws with ones having lock-washers,--take care you don't use ones too long if you're using S/H screws from summit else!
--Once re-tinned, remove as much solder from the pads as possible with braid, leaving the copper just silver-coated. You Do NOT want a thick blob of solder all around that ring/arch, as this over time will 'shrink' and leave the mount loose to arc again.

Re: 42"Fluid plasma tv Mod#(Samsung)pn50b550t2f
Firstly, Check for correct 60?V Va Voltage on PSU. If OK, then--
Check the SMD Fuse on the Bottom Address board, a tiny white 4A? fuse near the Va plug lead on bottom edge of the panel.
IF its blown, there'll be a S/C SMD 1206? Cap on one of the Va supplies to a COF chip Under that metal strip on bottom edge of panel.
Take Great Care removing and re-installing this metal strip as the chips on the Mylar FPC's are pretty delicate die devices.
If you remove that metal to find the...
