Re: Trouble finding diode part number
The little one could very well be a fuse. On the left side of the component the trace goes right to the 5v pin which connects to the power supply for the HDD. I'm pretty sure the diode on the left is a TVs diode which is usually for circuit protection. That's why if you remove it the HDD will still boot up but just not have any circuit protection there. When they go bad they usually short.

Re: Trouble finding diode part number
Also the smaller one on the left was bad on the actual board I’m replacing it on because there would be 5v on one side coming from the plug supplying power and on the other side of this component was only .8v.

Re: Trouble finding diode part number
I know the zener diode was bad because on the other board I am replacing it on it was bubbled on the top. What is the one on the left? I was kinda wondering if it was a diode or not because it didn't have a cathode band on it.

Trouble finding diode part number
I am trying to replace a 2 diodes from a HDD that went bad. I cannot figure out the part number to replace them with. They are on the 5v line of the HDD board. Can anyone help me figure this out? I think the big one is a TVS diode....

Re: Need Help Locating Resistor
Son of a gun... That's it. I was way off. I thought the 331k ment resistance or that the R. was for resistor. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

Need Help Locating Resistor
I have a blue resistor that looks like the ceramic capacitors that I need to replace. I cant find it on mouser or digikey. It has in writing R. then below it says 331K and below 1kV. I will try to post a picture if I can. Can anyone help locate a replacement?

Re: Used TV Resales, very slow...
Yea I got out of the tv flipping hobby a couple of years ago. The profit just wasn’t worth the time unless I had small components already on hand that would fix it.

Re: Identification of Capacitor
Yea I don’t know how they expect someone to know what kind of cap this is with the only marking of 106 on it.

Re: Identification of Capacitor
It's used on a y main board. My phone won't let me attach the photo but here is a link to the caps I'm having issues with.

Identification of Capacitor
I have 3 small blue disc capacitors that I need to replace. The only marking on them is the number 106. Any idea how to find replacements of these

Re: Tips for removing big LCD screens
That's what I currently do for the 42"-46". It's hard enough to lift that. I might look into some glass suction cups.

Tips for removing big LCD screens
As I have seen on here that the new leds are going bad more and more often. I just wanted to see if anyone had tips to remove the LCD panel when replacing a led so the panel doesn't break. I have done up to 42" but even that made me weiry. I have a 50" to do and not looking forward to it

Re: Post The Led Backlights Your Fixing Here.
What's the biggest led strip or repair you have done? I have my eyes on a 60" and I have a 50" that needs to be done. I'm worried about breaking the screen to get to the leds when I lift the screen off. Any tips for removing the panel on very big tv's to get to the strips?

Samsung un46d7000 anyone have tcon ribbon cables?
I just picked this tv up and the guy tried to repair it himself and he messed the ribbon cables that go from the tcon board to the panel. I'm guessing he didn't know there was a black lever to life to remove the cable and he shoved it back in messing up the gold teeth.
Does anyone have one or two ribbon cables?

Re: Samsung Pn64e533d2f how do I replace this fuse?
I got the fuse off and replaced it and it blew immediately. I'm prettyy sure it's the mosfets that have gone bad. I got the repair kit from shopjimmy. Only problem is I don't know how to remove this thermal glue that's covering the mosfets on the heat sink. Anyone know...

Re: Holy mother of TV scores!
Nice find. I thought I hit it last night when I picked up a 64" Samsung plasma from 2012 so thin for 50 bucks and only thing wrong with it so far is a fuse. If that's it then it's my best score probably ever

Samsung Pn64e533d2f how do I replace this fuse?
This sounds like a dumb question but I can't find any totorial on how to de solder this fuse. It's a pigtail fuse that the lead goes to a cup on the pcb and I tried desoldering like normal on the reverse side but the solder didn't even seem to melt. My iron was at 750F. Has anyone de soldered one of these before?...
