Re: TCL LCD TV Model L32M11HD - no standby
Soldering additional 10uF cap across CB4 did not make any difference, voltage still slightly fluctuates.
Secondary diode DB10 tests good and there is no voltage readings on its cathode.
I can't read anything on the cold side outputs (connector P2). Neither rectifier diode nor caps indicate any problems.
Also checked RB5, DB7 and DB8 - all seem Ok. Resistor RB6 however, measures about 9k while the schematic indicates 27k. I am guessing it is not that critical.
So, still...

Re: TCL LCD TV Model L32M11HD - no standby
Thank you piernov and R-J for quick response.
I did check the components in Vcc line (pin 5), look OK.
And yes, the measurements were made with all other inter-board plugs disconnected.
These slightly fluctuating voltages on Vfb (pin 3), Vcc (pin 5) and Vstr (pin8) concern me though.
Should I go with the IC1 replacement or is there a problem somewhere else?Re: TCL LCD TV Model L32M11HD - no standby

TCL LCD TV Model L32M11HD - no standby
I am seeking some help from the experts here, please.
There is no 3.3V standby voltage and so the set appears dead.
I found the same model with the same symptoms on this forum under https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=50363 .
budm tried to help but the tread ended quickly without any final conclusion.
Schematic of the power supply board (attached below) is from the above mentioned tread. It says there that it is for this specific model. However, the IC1 which drives the standby transformer TS2 is Viper12A on the schematic, while...

Re: 42LG20-UM LCD TV washed out picture
Just to report final outcome.
Yes, you were right. The chip was the source of the problem.
I did get the new chip, but not having a proper tool (heat gun station) and not much experience for such an operation, I only caused damage to some of the pads. Definitely need more practice on those SMD chips replacements.
In the end I have ordered a new T-Con board (about USD25 from Hong Kong), put it back and the TV works fine.
Thank you to all of you for guidance.

Re: 42LG20-UM LCD TV washed out picture
Different TV model, similar problem with a pale, washed out picture.
Gamma voltages as follows;
1 15.31V
2 15.26V
6 14.10V
7 13.92V
8 13.84V
10 13.40V
11 13.32V
12 6.63V
13 6.37V
15 4.69V
16 4.39V
17 3.86V
21 0.50V
22 0.36V
There is a wider jump between VGAM 11 and 12. In fact Very similar to that shown by OP in post #10.
Not sure if that jump is too big though.
The chip AS15F (with...

Re: 42LG20-UM LCD TV washed out picture
ReeceyBurger123 - Could you please explain what actually indicates in the VGMA readings above that the AS15 has failed?
The voltages show continuous decrease in values, as it should be, I believe.
Although there is a bigger jump between VGMA11 and 12. Would this be enough to say that the AS15 is bad?
I am not questioning your assessment here, just trying to learn a bit more....

Did you replace T-Con board?
Did it solve the problem?

Re: NEC PX-50XR5W (Plasma) Shuts down
Still having problem with this TV, still calling for help. Possibly the issue is with Power Supply Unit but it is hard for me to move without the circuit diagram.
Some internet searches indicate that possibly Panasonic used the same power board.
In my case (NEC) the PSU is marked as KPC 2294V-0.
Can any one confirm that it was actually used by Panasonic and in what TV model number?

I would really need some direction on where to start with this shut down problem. Any suggestion? Any chance of a schematics for the Power Supply Unit? Will be greatly appreciated.

NEC PX-50XR5W (Plasma) Shuts down
Hi there,
Seeking your guidance again.
At Power On relay clicks, fans start to spin, then after a second or two the relay clicks again and all shuts down. A small red LED on the sub-board of the PSU starts blinking red.
The front LED indicator at the beginning shows green, after shut down turns off and in about 20 sec turns on red.
I did try to disconnect power to the Y-drive to observe a brief presence of Va (it is Vd on NEC) and Vs voltages before shut down. Nothing observed and no difference in sequence behavior.
I could not find anything related to this...

Re: Samsung LA26C450 does not turn on
In this case I would think the inverter could be the problem causing the voltage to fluctuate.
Perhaps others can shine more light on it.

Re: Samsung LA26C450 does not turn on
Hyper, yes it still works. It seems that the 22nF cap instead of the original 18nF is acceptable. Obviously its voltage can not be lower than 630V....

Re: Samsung LA40F81BD Jumbled Dispaly
Tom66 I took the Gamma voltage readings again, this time with all 4 ribbons disconnected. They still look bad.
1. 0.90V
2. 0.003V
3. 0.967V
4. 0.934V
5. 0.937V
6. 0.947V
7. 0.002 V
8. 0.958V
9. 0.002V
10. 0.109V
11. 0.143V
12. 0.072V
13. 0.071V
14. 0.069V
15. 0.063V
16. 0.060V
17. 0.046V
18. 0.010V
I think that the Gamma IC is the big one in the center of the board. Its has markings like that: AMLCD, LMU4148T1,...
