Hello all,
I recently bought an Asus X54H laptop that had a damaged power port (common problem with this laptop) thinking that I would replace the power port and it would work fine.

After taking it apart I noticed that there had already been an attempted repair on the power port and that it was a horrible job at that.



Anyhow by putting a little pressure on the power port I was able to get power to the motherboard but it was still not powering up, no lights, nothing.

I then noticed that there was a blown cap.
